broken world where temptations

abound. We have a new spirit,

but the flesh clings to us. The

spirit vs. flesh battle rages in us

every day. Who will we serve?

God or the evil one?

No Church Meeting on July 9th

There is no congregational meet-

ing on July 9th. We may call a spe-

cial meeting as developments re-

garding the Krejci Learning and

nicate more as God moves moun-

tains and walks us into our des-

tiny.

prayer group meets at Hillside

Christian Church each Tuesday

from 6:41-7:00 a.m. The Lord is

setting the stage for revival in

our city and region. He calls us to

pray. All the men of the church

are encouraged to attend. Bring a

friend.

Bibles Available

If one of our guests needs a Bible,

copies are available at our table in

the foyer of the church. The Word

has power! Share it with a guest to

our church or a friend.

plementation Committee will

meet on Saturday, July 8, at 9:30

House of Prayer on Tuesday

God’s promise is, “I have heard

your prayer; I have seen your

tears. Behold, I will heal you.” - 2

Kings 20:5b. Do you need some

healing in your heart, mind or

spirit? Then, pray. 6:00 p.m. at

Hillside. Be there.

Special Guest on July 16th

On Sunday, July 16th, we will wel-

come Rev. Perry Gauthier of Capi-

tol Ministries. This ministry plants

and develops biblical ministries of

evangelism and discipleship to

public servants. God tells us to

pray for those in authority and He

wants all the leaders of nations to

hear His Word. “Bear My name be-

fore the Gentiles and kings and the

sons of Israel.” - Acts 9:15. Perry,

who is Nebraska’s State Director,

will speak to the Adult Sunday

School at 10:15 a.m. Be there!

Ministry Center

Christ Lutheran Church has been

invited to become the spiritual

heartbeat of the faith-based Frank

and Jane Krejci Learning and Life

Community. We unanimously af-

firmed conducting discovery for

occupying the Dana Library! May

we walk into our future in com-

plete unity.

Jesus Follower Quotes

“Christianity without discipleship

is always Christianity without

Christ.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

“Some wish to hear the Word of

God; others wish to receive it.”

Bible Study Tuesday

This Tuesday evening’s Bible

study on spiritual gifts will focus

on the Ascension gifts of pastor

and teacher. 7:00 p.m. HCC.

Missional Identity

Missional is not an activity. It’s an

identity! You are God’s woman,

man or child. As Christians, we are

not people who “do ministry.” We

are ministers. We are not people

who “do mission.” We are mis-

sionaries. As we live out our iden-

tity as missionaries, we will start

to see our everyday activities as

opportunities to be witnesses for

Christ. Be Jesus to the world.

Ready, set, go!

Answered Prayers

Thank the Lord for the follow-

ing:

Improved health for Mary Cam-

den.

For God’s favor on Christ Lu-

theran Church to be the spiritual

core of the Krejci Learning and

Life Center! We have been of-

fered occupancy on two floors of

the Library.

Missional Idea

Invite a neighbor to Christmas

in July. It’s a fun, free celebration

of Jesus and His love on July 21st.

Explain that it is a benefit for the

Washington County Food Pantry.

Invite them to bring a non-

perishable food item. Then, ask if

they would like to volunteer with

you at the Pantry. Explain why

you serve.

If you are willing to volunteer at

Joseph’s Coat and the Washing-

ton County Food Pantry, please

Audio/Visual Assistants Needed

David Picton works hard to keep

our audio visual services up-to-

date as CLC reaches the technol-

ogy world we live in. More help is

needed for the tasks involved

on Sunday mornings. Please

speak with David on how you can

help.

Thanks from Mary

Mary Camden is still at Mount

Clair for a few more weeks, but

progress is evident. Praise Him

from whom all blessings flow.

Mary writes, “Please extend my

most sincere gratefulness for all

the prayers, calls, and notes of

encouragement that always seem

to arrive when I most need the

encouragement and reminders I

am in God’s hands. Blessings to

all.”
