Did you know that Bewdley Primary

School now has its own Facebook Page?

‘Like’ our page to see regular updates about all of the great things that are happening at

BPS. At present, we’re just using it to celebrate the fabulous things that are happening in

school. Newsletters, texts and specific letters will still be sent home when we need to send

information for parents and carers.

Summer Term Dates for your Diary

As we approach this busy time of the year please find below a list of important dates for

your diaries. This list will have dates and times added to it so please check it weekly.

Monday 8th July - KS2 Visit to the Rose Theatre - pm

Year 6 Wizard of Oz Production – 6.30 – 8pm at the Rose

Theatre

STEM Week – 8th - 12th July - no hot dinners available on

Tuesday 9th July

Friday 12th July - Year 6 overnight camp

15th – 19th July - Sports Week – wear sporting clothes everyday (no Forest

School this week)

Monday 15th July - Year 2 Bell Boating – please pay via ‘Parent pay’

Wednesday 17th July - Elmer’s Sports Day 10.30 – 12.30 – information on Tapestry

Wednesday 17th July - Year 6 Oscars – arrivals from 5.30. 6pm start until 8.30pm

Thursday 18th July - Sports Day – letters with full details have gone home.

Friday 19th July - Elmer’s Graduation 2.15 – 3pm

Friday 19th July - End of Term

Separate letters have been sent home with full details for some of these events. Please

look out for other letters to follow regarding other events.

Nursery News

Please can parents say goodbye at the door and

wave through the window. This will support your

child when that start Reception in September.

Elmer's sports day will take

place on Wednesday 17th July

from 10.30 - 12.30pm. This

includes sporting events and a

picnic. Letters with full details

have been sent home.

Elmer's graduation will take place on Friday 19th July from 2.15 - 3pm in the hall. A letter has been sent out with further information.

Sports Week

Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July

Children will be able to wear sporting

clothes every day, as sporting activities

on and off site will be taking place all

week. Children only need to wear Team

colours on Sports Day.

Team colours are only required for

Sports Day on Thursday 18th July.

Bewdley Primary School Vacancy Teaching Assistant Grade 2

Minimum 18.75 hours a week (spread over 5 days 8.30am – 12.15pm) Start Date: 1st September 2019 Contract: Temporary for 1 year in the first instance (this may be extended based on school needs beyond this time) Applications close: Friday 12th July 12 noon Interviews: Week beginning 15th July Teaching Assistant required Bewdley Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, hard-working and committed team. Harry F (Inkpen) for working really hard in maths all year and always doing his best!

Betsy I (Dodd) for always being ready, respectful and safe and helping others to be

the same. I can always rely on Betsy!

Ben L (Butterworth) for his improved focus during literacy and writing an amazing final

hot task.

James B (Donaldson) for always following our school rules of ‘Ready, Respectful,Safe’.

Finn J (Bond) for learning the braille alphabet and contracted forms so brilliantly. You

are amazing!

Elliot A (Milne) for doing brilliantly in our lessons on time despite being away for a few

of our lessons.

Abi B (Blyton) for working so conscientiously to do her best writing using her writing

checklist.

Grace P (Morpurgo) for the effort she has put in during our sports day practice.

Millie S (Dahl) for the tremendous effort and enthusiasm she puts into our sports day

practice this week.

Dylan B (Rowling) for being such a polite and positive person.

Harry C (Lewis) for his excellent manners, always being polite to both adults and his

peers.

Rui Gn Ruby S and Rian T (Walliams) for keeping the show on the road!

Bryn B (Blackman) for being a marvellous munchkin.

Congratulations to Evie L and Lacey S on passing their Bronze Keyboard Music Medal.

Faith (Elmers Nursery) for being so confident and talking

about her holiday to the beach during group time.

Statham (Elmers Nursery) for being very imaginative during

his self-chosen activities.

Whole School Well Done

We are very proud to have achieved a Gold award for

our efforts and achievements in PE during 2018/19.

Well Done to all the staff and children.

Instrumental Lessons 2019-2020

Having received several applications for lessons next year, we have the spaces

available in the following shared lessons: flute, keyboard and violin.

If your child would be interested in taking up one of these instruments please contact

the office by Tuesday 9th July.

Parents of all new pupils will receive further information during the final week of

term.
