13. Student Association and Club Activities

ELF(English Language Forum) is formed.

We have listed out the competitions to be conducted for the next month.

The students were divided into five teams, namely: Aurora, Bellona, Cybele,

Damon and Evander.

The first event of ELF, a Book Review was conducted on 26th

June.

The ELF organised a Short Story Competition on 27th

June

Mr. A. Saleth Vensus Kumar , Assistant Professor has cleared the SET exam

conducted by the Mother Teresa University, Kodaikanal.

The Department notice board is continuously revamped by the teams on a given

schedule. The displays were evaluated and scores were given.

On 29th

June ELF organised a three in one competition 1. Dumb Charades.

2. Connections and 3. Turncoat

The logos of ELF teams were released on 6th

July, 2018. Later that day, ELF

organised an extempore Elocution Competition for the teams.

The ELF conducted collage making competition on 13th

July. The theme of the

contest was “culture.

The Inaugural function was organised on 26th

of July 2018. The Chief Guest Dr.

P. Suriya Narayanan, retired Professor from Government Arts College

Coimbatore addressed the students.

26. Ongoing Creative Work or Innovations

A five day ‘Make intern’ program in collaboration with IIM Kozhikode was

organized from 30.07.2018 to 03.08.2018 titled ‘Business Analytics’ in which 39

students of various departments participated

We Have Organized many Literary events and Competitions through Tamil

Mandram.

Conducted “TALENT HUNT” on 29/06/2018 for first year and second year of

CDF students enthusiastically participated in the event showcasing their talent

through sketching, painting, jewelry making and other forms of craft work
