July 10, 2009 Volume 1, Issue 3 Parish Update Incarnation Parish Capital Campaign/ 818-242-2579 The parish has been diligently studying the possibilities for establishing memorials on behalf of donors to the Building Fund. Memorial Gift Donations range from $7,500 to $500,000. Memorial Gifts will allow donors to have a plaque placed in the new building with their family name or the names of loved ones at specific sites within the buildings. For example, a donation of $7,500 will enable a donor to have a plaque placed on a parking space, or on the door of one Memorial Gift Plans Finalized “Tree of Life” will honor donors to Building Fund The Incarnation Memorial/Recognition Plan also includes the establishment of a three-dimensional metal sculpture called the Tree of Life. The Tree will be mounted on the wall inside the new Education Building and will have foundation stones and leaves, which are to be inscribed with the names of donors to the Building Fund. Foundation Stones recognize gifts of $50,000 and above. Gold leaves signify a donation of $25,000-$49,999. Silver leaves recognize pledges between $10,000- $24,999. Bronze leaves honor pledges of $5,000 to $9,999. Donors will be provided with a special form on which they can signify a name and/or intention to be inscribed on their stone or leaf. There will be a special blessing of the memorial gift wall in conjunction with the parish center dedication plan. At that the dressing rooms in the gymnasium. Thanks to the incredible generosity of parishioners Bob and Jackie Doud, we are able to offer a unique and exciting evening that will benefit our Building Fund!

Mr. and Mrs. Doud are hosting an exquisite dinner at the historic Doheny Mansion for a limited number of guests on Thursday, August 6th. Cocktails begin at 6:00pm with dinner at 7:00. Following dinner, an exclusive tour of this beautiful landmark will be enjoyed by the guests.

Tickets are $250 per person. ALL money goes to the Building Fund.

On June 27 a free Family Movie Night was held at the new property. While the audience enjoyed their picnic dinners outdoors, parishioner Grace Doyle graced the audience with song. Her talented dad, Dennis Doyle, and her equally talented brother Austin accompanied Grace. As the sun set, we all moved into the gym with our lawn chairs to enjoy the wonderful movie, “Babe”. The Albert Daher family provided delicious fresh-popped popcorn and cool soft drinks, and delicious baked goods were donated by Pauline Oehlman, Terri Ulbricht, Fadia Daher, Thelma Sugay and Pat Camp. Thanks to Monsignor, Rita Guild, Olivia Carrillo, and Robert Sanchez for their support and aid!
