VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2015

The VBS theme this year was Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a Kid. The VBS campers dressed in tunics and heard stories from Jesus’ childhood. The program included a Marketplace area where the children made a craft each day. They also played games, learned songs, and watched a skit where volunteers portrayed Mary, Jesus and other biblical characters. They were also given a snack. Many thanks to Sydney Hebert, Ann Funes, Bonnie Kolb, Melanie Swindler and all the other wonderful volunteers who helped make the week such a suc-cess! Your time and dedication was truly appreciat-ed. And a thank you to all the ladies who made the tunics.

SUMMER MUSIC AT ST. ALOYSIUS

During the summer months there will be two music groups that will sing for Sunday liturgy:

Summer Choir begins on Sunday, June 7 (the Feast of Corpus Christi) and continues each Sunday through Labor Day. Summer choir is open to all adult, youth, and children of the par-ish. It is an ideal way for a family to share in music ministry to-gether. This choir is designed to allow individuals and families to try out singing in a church choir without having to commit to a mid--week rehearsal. Summer Choir is flexible. It is organized to ac-commodate the vacation and summer schedules of our parishion-ers. The choir will rehearse at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday in the Convent Choir Room. The Summer Choir will lead the music for the 11:00 a.m. mass. For more information about the Summer Choir, contact Eleanor Bach [email protected] or Ken Thevenet, 343-6657, ext 3030.

[email protected],

The 5:30 Music Ministry will also continue to provide music for the Sunday evening Mass during the summer months. This group is primarily made up of High School Age Youth. High School Youth who enjoy singing are invited to join this music group. Re-hearsals take place before Mass at 4:30 p.m. in the Convent Choir Room. Contact Anna Hittle [email protected] or Ken Thevenet, 343-6657, ext 3030 for more information.
