Our Speaker — Barbara Langdon

Happy Anniversary

It is an option, on your wedding anniversary, to donate a dollar for every year of marriage. Here Sergeant Jose collects a check from Carl Rehling for his 52nd year of marriage to Bonnie. Thank You, Carl!

As we pray, let us increase the joy in our lives through involvement and

contribution. May we encourage our Rotarian friends to be generous with words, deeds and earnings. At a time in our history when we are tempted to find blame in others, may we draw closer together and bring light to the hopes of those who are

vulnerable and need encouragement in our families, communities and throughout the world. Amen

For more than fifteen years, Barbara has been helping small companies and solopreneurs be successful using email and social media marketing to secure repeat business and referrals from existing customers. After 10 years at the helm of Market Momentum, Barbara joined Constant Contact in 2009 to extend the company’s educational reach by creating and launching the Authorized Local Experts program. In July 2014 Barbara relocated with her husband to Southwest Florida, reopened Market Momentum, and became an Authorized Local Expert herself. Barbara is dedicated to educating small businesses and nonprofits on how to make their marketing efforts as effective as possible. She has been authorized by Constant Contact to deliver its seminars because of her

proven expertise, passion, and commitment to helping small businesses and nonprofits throughout Sarasota and Charlotte counties. She also provides marketing services to those who want help getting started with email and social media marketing, or who want someone to do it all for them.

The FOUR-Way Test of the things we think, say or do: 1. IS IT THE TRUTH? 2. IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED? 3. WILL IT BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. WILL IT BE BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED?

Throwback Ponce

Accused of not being color coordinated, President Bob sports Mike Colgan’s suitcoat, acquired at the Atlanta International Convention. He is however, correctly wearing his Paul Harris Fellow medallion and Where’s Waldo? necktie.

After expressing surprise while Nancy Lisby wins the 50/50 drawing, Sergeant José Basilio hands over the keys to New Sergeant Cliff Fisher.

From 2001 until the end of the 2009 Rotary Year, Ponce was a regular feature of Harbor Rotary’s bulletin. This year the Charlotte Harbor Times editorial staff have decided to bring him back in re-runs. The entire collection can be found at anytime by clicking Good Rotarian on the home page of Charlotte Harbor Rotary.org. This picture is from July 2007.
