For: John Frederick

From: Alana Golden, Norwich schools

In an email to Tim Miller, Alana wrote: Tim, I wanted tosend an official email to recognize John Frederick and hiswork with Norwich City School District.

In a rush to leave for a conference (recently), I inadvertentlydeleted a file off a thumb drive. Typically, I utilize this drivefor a backup of my files, but with the transition to beingshared with Sidney, I had been using this to work on a newfile, as I had been doing work at both locations. This file

represented about 20 hours of work and effort and wasn'tsomething I was looking forward to recreating.

I ran down to IT and honestly thought all might be lost. Johnvery calmly walked back with me to my office and setimmediately to working on recovering the document. Nopromises were made, but he seemed hopeful.

John recovered the document, saving me hours of workand frustration, and I still got out of the office on time tomake it to my conference. And of course, I now have thedocument backed up in multiple locations.

Honestly, this situation could have been a nightmare, butJohn took the time to make a situation reparable and allowme to continue on with my work.

Thank you, Alana

We appreciate him and are happy that he is a part of ourteam. Jennifer

For: Joel Munson, Josh Petruzzelli and Ryan Toole

From: Elliot Thomas and Amy Kukenberger, Cooperstownschools

Short description: We are getting the same errormessage as yesterday again: "Access denied. Pleasecontact your PowerSchool System Administrator."

In a message from Joel Munson, he wrote: Had aconference call with Josh and Elliot. Elliot erased allcertificates on the AD (Active Directory) server, generateda new one and loaded it into PowerSchool. Same results!Josh is out of ideas as well. He is checking to see if anyoneon the hill has ideas on how to solve this problem. Tryinganother conference call with Elliot, Ryan, and Josh. Ryanhas some ideas. Joel

Elliot's response: Thank you so much Joel and Josh. It ismuch appreciated! Ryan assisted with the certificate andthat was the trick. I confirmed on my admin account, twosecretaries, and a teacher - all confirmed to be working. This seems to be resolved now and I've marked to confirmthe certificate next year 30 days before the expiration date, like was recommended. I appreciate everyone's time andassistance on this matter. It really means a lot to me beingthe lone wolf here. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
