From the Desk of Father Kurt This week Jesus cures the woman who had been ill for many years, and also raised a child from death to life. Do we believe in the miracles of Jesus? And if so why do we not believe that Jesus can and will perform miracles in our lives as well? Jesus truly wants what is best for us and will give us what we need if we ask with hearts of faith. Sometimes I think that we don’t ask because a part of us would rather rely on our own strength than put our trust in the power of God. In respect to God we must become like little children. If we ask for something and don’t receive it, we must believe that God didn’t give it to us because he has something better for us in the future ahead. Let us place our confidence in God and trust that he will perform miracles in our lives.
