It is important for people to be informed about sexual assault and the effect it has. Our class was asked to create a poster about the subject for Student Services at Vanier College. I wanted my design to be effective and eye-catching which is why I decided to use texting as the theme of the poster. Using Photoshop I made it look like the two beers were men and they were having a conversation about one guy getting “lucky” without the girl’s consent. To highlight the message, I made it look like his words were being autocorrected with what he really thinks.

I was asked to create an infographic to teach people about how to make cold brew coffee. To make it visually appealing, fun, and also highlight the most important numbers and key words, I used large fonts and a blue and brown colour scheme which evoke the colours of a coffee shop.

I wrote and designed a case study report about the revision process I went through while improving five of the best websites I built in my Multimedia Presentations class. The goal was to discuss, analyze and assess the process that was used when improving my original work. I decided to create this booklet with a colour scheme of five colours, to generate interest since forms include a lot of information. For this project, I was asked to combine a quote and an image in order to create my own original “visual poem”. My goal was to use my creativity in order to build something that would make people wonder how it got done. My quote was about standing on the edge without going over, so I decided to use Photoshop in order to blend my quote into an image of the edge of a rock to create a metaphor. Software: Photoshop

One of our early projects in school was to use the first letter of our first and last name in order to create a logo that we could use to brand ourselves on our website and business cards. I decided to try three completely different styles to see which one suited me best. My first one was more abstract, my second one was clean and professional and my last one was fancy and included some color. For this project we were asked to create a poster to raise awareness about road safety. I decided to do my poster on texting and driving since it is an important topic that people should be aware of. To illustrate this I showed a hand holding several polaroids of family portraits with one person’s face blurred out. The blurred-out face represents the victim of a car accident caused by texting and driving, and with that a quote “Just one call. Can end it all.” This quote represents the theme, and also rhymes at the same time. Software: Photoshop

The goal for this project was to create a magazine cover for any magazine of our choice. It was important for us to make a statement and design something that represents an important issue, so I decided to do mine on gender inequality. I chose a print publication because the open layout fit well with my theme. The two ladders represent a women and a man. The pink ladder is curved like a woman’s body and is difficult to climb and once you reach the top there is still a space between the end of the ladder and the moneybag. On the other hand the blue ladder is straight, easy to climb and brings you right to the moneybag. This represents the gender inequality of salaries between men and women. Software: InDesign

What better way to represent Tic Tacs than with an explosion of bright colors? The goal for this assignment was to create a poster for Tic Tacs, using a background image that was taken from the colour run that takes place in Montreal every year. I chose this image because it is as if the colors are bursting into the air just like the Tic Tac flavours burst in your mouth. The slogan is “burst of flavours” in order to represent the various flavors of Tic Tacs. I made each letter from the word “flavours” different colours grabbed from the background image and used one large word that would stand out from the rest.

The best part of summer in Montreal is all the wonderful events that take place! One of the most famous music festivals that brings people from all over the world to Montreal is Osheaga, which was my inspiration for this newsletter. The objective of this project was to design a weekly publication for tourists to use when visiting Montreal. In this visual guide to the city I used seven main colours throughout and repeated those on the front cover in the word Osheaga. I kept my layout cheerful with the use of circles because they are bubbly and complement the theme of a music festival.

I was asked to create a wine booklet and label for Bibi Graetz vineyard in Tuscany, Italy. This booklet was created in order to inform people about the vineyard, the wine, and a little history about Bibi. My goal was to make the booklet appealing so that the audience is kept interested. I made sure that my booklet was filled with more images than text to emphasize the beauty of the location, using white space so that the images would stand out more. Software: InDesign

The objective of this report was to educate people about the work that Santropol Roulant does. They use intensive organic practices, to produce food that nourishes all of the other programs and members of the community. I used three colors, green, yellow and purple in keeping with their branding. This report was all about creativity, ener-gy and youth. The challenge in this project was finding good quality images. With a little bit of effort, I was able to create a dynamic and colorful design that has a clean and consistent layout.

Every year, graduates of the Micropublishing and Hypermedia program receive a printed yearbook with works by all the students. Our assignment was to design a front or back cover for the book. I created a colourful abstract design with triangles and combined it with an old Vernissage poster, using colours to continue the flower pattern. Since I was using very bright colours in the triangles, I decided to lower the contrast by making the background a dark blue. Software: InDesign

The purpose of this project was to research, develop, write and produce a manual on any topic of our choice. As someone who loves makeup, I decided to create an informal tutorial for all beauty lovers. With the intention of attracting a wide audience, I chose to highlight three different looks: Casual, Fantasy and Oscar. On Make-Me-Up you can find step-by-step instructions on how to create the looks, before and after images, video tutorials, a slideshow and the names and brands of the makeup being used.

For this project, my partner and I had the opportunity to create a game based on any topic of our choice. We decided to use Kylie Jenner and her lip injections as our inspiration for this game, which is how we came up with the title “I got 99 problems but thin lips ain’t one”. We were tasked with creating a game with a points system, different levels and limits. This game was created by using coding such as HTML, javascript and CSS. On each level you find a pair of lips moving around trying to catch the syringes that are scattered around the page. Once all the syringes are caught, a big pair of lips will pop up followed by a “you win” sign. Come play so Kylie can get her dream lips!

In order to start off on your own and become a freelance graphic designer, it is necessary to brand yourself. My business card is my way to promote myself to the world. I used marble in the back to unify my work and added a quote that represents me and the simplicity of my style.
