MOVE-UPS TO BEST OF VARIETY MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN 9:30 ON SUNDAY, JULY 14.JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another. provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show.OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A dog who has earned a title after entries have closed may be moved to another class in a future trial, provided the transfer request is presented to the Superintendent in writing at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. 3. Dogs must NOT be bathed and/or groomed in the sleeping rooms. This will lead to severe clogging of drains, as well as housekeeping problems. The use of hotel linens for bathing dogs is NOT permitted. As a guest, you will be responsible for any damages that occur in your room.

4. Every dog owner/agent is expected to pick up after their dogs. Please use the designated exercise areas only. Exercising will not be allowed near the main entrance or in the pool area.

5. Parking of vehicles in non-designated parking spots will not be allowed. 6. Dogs are not permitted in the casino, restaurants, swimming pool area, gift shop, retail stores,

or meeting room areas unless previously designated as dog show areas.7. The housekeeping department must clean rooms daily (hotel policy). All rooms must be

available for cleaning and all privacy signs must be removed no later than 2 p.m. each day. Exceptions will not be made. Anyone refusing service will have their room checked by an ASC show committee member and hotel staff.

8. Please make every effort to keep your dog quiet while in the hotel. Refunds made by the hotel due to disturbances, including noise caused by your dog, will be charged to your bill.

9. Dogs must be leashed at all times on the hotel property.Important Reminders: It is very important that we all do our best to maintain cleanliness with our dogs at our hotel. There will be designated areas for exercising your dog(s). Don’t wait too long to get them out. Go to the shortest route; take baggies with you in case of an accident. Do not walk away from your dog’s mess. Demand others to clean up after their dogs. Please report someone who is not observing the rules. Bench Show Committee Meeting and Hearing will be called on anyone who abuses our hotel. The AKC will back us if we have a problem. Inform Stephanie Kaul, Charles Born, quinn Ruvacava, or James Wade if you notice a problem.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORSThe following rules and regulations will be strictly enforced by the show committee, or the Grand Sierra Resort, or both, as appropriate:1. The show site will be available to exhibitors at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Please plan

your arrival accordingly as early access to the tack room will not be accommodated. All unloading must be through the roll up door of the Silver State Pavilion, just across from the driving range, near the RV Park. NO UNlOADING THROUGH THE GSR MAIN DOORS! There is no driving into the Silver State Pavilion - all unloading must be done with dollies or hand carts through the roll-up door of the Silver State Pavilion. 15 Minute Unloading Zone near roll-up door. Unloading area will be strictly monitored by GSR Security and the ASC Event Committee. Any exhibitor who parks in the unloading zone will be towed away at their expense.

2. The show site will be open July 11-14 from 6:00 AM until 11:00 PM. Dogs may be left overnight in the show building. All setups where dogs are remaining overnight must display a contact name and a phone number where they can be reached 24/7. Security guards will be on duty. No one will be allowed in the building between the hours of 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM, unless special permission is granted by the show chairman.

3. All dogs and equipment must be removed from the Silver State Pavilion by 9am on Monday, July 15, 2013. NO ExCEPTIONS!

4. There will be NO SMOKING within the confines of the Silver State Pavilion, the bathing stations or within 20 feet of any hotel entrance.

5. Sanitary conditions must be maintained in the show building and/or anywhere at the Grand Sierra Resort – INClUDING HOTEl ROOMS - at all times. All exercise pens must be identified with the exhibitor’s name. Exercise pens MUST be kept clean and will be patrolled by show committee members. Plastic and shavings will be provided courtesy of the Mission Valley Cocker Spaniel Club. Plastic MUST be under All PENS, regardless of whether trays are utilized. The show committee will monitor the cleanliness of the show building and reserves the right to request grooming areas to be cleaned at any time as deemed necessary. Dogs may not be off-leash anywhere at the Grand Sierra Resort.

6. Grooming of dogs will be confined to the tack room area. Bathing of dogs will be confined to the bathing area provided just outside the tack room. ABSOlUTEly NO BATHING OR GROOMING OF DOGS IN THE HOTEl ROOMS! Violation of this will be grounds for a bench show committee.

7. American Spaniel Club welcomes all exhibitors. We want you to know that we are taking a proactive step to protect the health and well-being of the dogs being exhibited at our show. ASC may require proof of vaccination (or titers) for any dog that is in attendance at the American Spaniel Club Cocker Spaniel National Specialty or it’s Flushing Show. This documentation must be from a licensed veterinarian or a copy of vaccination record which shows the original labels from the vials of vaccine with the date of the vaccination. Vaccinations must be within veterinarian recommended protocol.

8. Please refresh your knowledge of AKC Rules and Regulations Chapter 11, Section 9. “No dog shall be eligible to compete at any show, no dog shall be brought into the grounds or premises of any show, and any dog which may have been brought into the grounds or premises of a dog show shall immediately be removed if it:

a) shows clinical symptoms of distemper, infectious hepatitis, leptrospirosis or other communicable disease, or

b) is known to have been in contact with distemper, infectious hepatitis, leptospirosis or other communicable disease within thirty days prior to the opening of the show, or

c) has been kenneled within thirty days prior to the opening of the show on premises on which there existed distemper, infectious hepatitis, leptospirosis or other communicable disease.

9. Anyone who knowingly brings sick dogs onto the show premises will be subject to Bench Committee Hearing.

The ASC Pig Patrol will again be attending our National to be sure things are being well kept. The tack and crating areas will be patrolled throughout the day and evening to be sure setups are kept clean. At the end of the day, exhibitors will receive either a “Squeaky Clean” ticket or a “Dirty Pig” ticket, depending on the cleanliness of their pens/setup. “Squeaky Clean” tickets can be submitted for a chance to win $100.
