BMI Supply, Queensbury, NY— Interim Warehouse Assistant September 2013 - December 2013

At BMI, I learned warehousing on a more personal level. As its the only warehouse for a company that provides product all over the country, and sometimes internationally, everything I learned here about receiving, shipping, order filling, and stocking, is applicable to anything on a much larger scale. At this position, I tasked myself with revamping the warehouse organization. (see projects section) I was often left to take care of orders and receiving by myself while the manager took care of higher priority issues.

Kmart, Queensbury, NY — Distribution Center Associate December 2012 - June 2013

The Queensbury Kmart became a distribution center around April, and I was one of the original team member at the launch, my first exposure to order filling, and warehousing in general. I was looked to as an unofficial trainer in this position as i picked it up faster then most. I was usually responsible for closing down at night.

Kodak, Lake George, NY — Sales Lead May 2010 - October 2013 (seasonally)

This was a seasonal position at the local Six Flags. I started at the bottom as a photographer, I was quickly placed in a sales positions at the booths a rides and other locations, as my salesmanship showed remarkable potential. Locations I worked in frequently saw a spike in profits, we more often than not exceeded our budget goal each day. I was then promoted to lead, as I became a senior team member, after several past team members did not return that season.

EDUCATION

SUNY Adirondack, Queensbury, NY — N/A April 2016 - June 2016

I attended SUNY Adirondack for one semester before moving to Idaho. My major was Computer science. I went while also working and raising a family, I did not have time for Extracurricular activities.

Fort Ann Central School, Fort Ann, NY — NY Regents Diploma September 2007 - June 2013

I attended Fort Ann high school, from 7th grade to graduation. I graduated 10th in the class of 2013, with a New York regents diploma, which in New York, is a step below the highest level diploma one can receive. I had a 3.5 GPA while in school.

PROJECTS

Warehouse Organization — Inventory Count, as well as labeling and Locating With BMI Supply. As mentioned before this was a self tasked project. After recognizing that the set up in this warehouse was far from perfect, and that often inventory counts were far off, and sometimes product was lost or forgotten about, I started a process to fix it. I began with labeling all off the products in the warehouse with magnetic labels making sure everything was in its proper place I started the next step. An inventory count of all the product, to correct the system errors was necessary, As there was also product the Sales managers did not know we had. At the end of the project, all product was easily locatable with a basic knowledge of the warehouse layout, and counts were much more accurate.
