Manager Functions at the Point of Sale
The PoS has several “functions” available while in operation. There are media reports, toggling Training Mode, Restarting the Peripherals, &
Shutting Down the PoS Application.
To display available functions press the Function Key
A “Pop-Up” window displays a list of available functions … highlight a function and press the Select Button. In this example the terminal will run a Cashier X report
1. AVAILABLE COMMANDS – Prints a list of commend number at the PoS2. Cashier X Report – Prints details about the sale that a Cashier has done3. Media Flash Report – A small report showing media accepted at the register4. TOGGLE TRAINING MODE – Puts the PoS in to or out of Training Mode5. RESTART PERIPHERALS – Reinitializes hardware attached to the PoS6. SHUTDOWN POS - Stops the PoS application to access the desktop7. EXIT POS & POWER OFF – Stops the PoS application and turns off the computer
Enter the Cashier Number desired and
press the Enter Key. A report will print at the
PoS.
The Print Report Button will print a small report that will show the
totals of the media taken at the till
Terminal Z Report
Positive: This defines How many transaction were done netting the totals in a positive manner (should be the ONLY total on the WIC system)Negative: This defines How many transaction were done netting the totals in a negative manner (no way to Return or Refund WIC so total will always be zero)Adding B: This defines if a media has been affected by a “Loan” to the drawer (this will always be zero as no value will ever be Loaned for WIC)Reducing: This defines if a media has been affected by a “Pick Up” to the drawer (this will always be zero as no value will ever be Picked Up for WIC)
Grand Totals – Totals from day one and will be reset through the End of the Year Process
System will ONLY have one media total – WIC EBT
Corrections, Voids, Cancelled sales will be accounted for under
the Informational Totals
Positive Items are item sold – Negative Items are items returned (can’t return in this system)
Positive Corrections are corrections made during a sale Negative Corrections are correction made
during a return (can’t return in this system)
Media Adjustment will not be used in this system, since there is no “real” media changing hands
(see below)
To Shutdown the PoS application, enter 999 and
Press the Function Key
The cashier is prompted to Confirm with ENTER or Cancel with Clear
Press Enter to shutdown to the
desktop
Press Clear to go back to Terminal Open and
Cancel the Shutdown
If Enter is selected, the system will Shutdown to the Desktop
