Social Studies Holiday Project Display
Grades III to VI
As part of their holiday project for the first term, students made models on the ancient civilization,
physical features, monuments and heritage of India. These models were exhibited on the map of
India. It was a hands-on experience for the students to learn beyond the classroom.
Going for the national level ASISC Declamation competition was simply a surreal experience. The
speech I rendered was about Vegetarianism, a topic I truly feel about and relate to. On stage, my goal
was to make everyone understand the torment and pain an animal undergoes only to provide your
plate of food. I suppose it worked! The trip to Kolkata with the other finalists was an amazing
experience as well.
I am extremely grateful to my parents, Acharyas, especially Hemamalini Acharya and Dushyanth Sir
for the opportunity and for training me for the competition. I feel honoured to have represented the
school.
