Attention all worship leaders and musicians! There will be a worship leader’s lunch today after the service at ABC restaurant on Fraser Highway. Come hear about the exciting things God has planned for BCCC’s worship!

Operation Christmas Child is collecting shoeboxes filled with gifts that they can give to children around the world in need of hope. Shoeboxes are available in the foyer. Visit www.samaritansppurse.ca/occ for more information.

Coming up on October 24th, 2010 there will be another prayer concert held in the gym at 7pm. Join us as we raise up prayer that is united, Bible based, faith-filled, and being used by God to shift our community.

Coming up on November 1st, 2010, the youth will begin reading through the Bible over a two-year stint. However, this initiative is not only for youth, but open to anyone who is interested in participating. If you would like to find out more information, please contact Doug (604-825-1496).

There will be a Soup and Bun Lunch after church on Sunday, November 14th by donation to raise funds for various church projects. Please contact the office if you would like to help in this endeavour.

There will be a meeting for the new care group coming up on Thursday, October 28th in the prayer room at 7pm* (please note time change). We will be discussing the passage from Genesis 50 and will be having a time of music, prayer, and snacks. Additionally, please mark your calendars for Nov. 4th and 25th which will be the next two meetings. New members are always welcome!

Michael Kraan, a friend of Andrew Cummings, was injured in a car crash a few weeks ago. He is slowly coming out of the medically induced coma but has caught pneumonia. Please pray for his healing and for his family and friends as they help him through recovery.

Linda Antoniak Pray for her as she is suffering with shingles.

Michael, Donna Ottosen’s brother, recovering from cancer surgery. The cancer has been removed from his mouth but he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Pray for strength and healing as well as for his family as they support him during this time.

Alice Glaister Pray for her as she will be away for this month.

Margaret Krausher She is suffering very badly with shingles and is feeling lonely. Please pray for God to give her comfort and for those around her to be near her during this time.

Tamil refugees, who have arrived recently on a boat from Sri Lanka. Women and children are starting to be released but the men are still being held in detention. Pray for their needs to be met as well and that they would experience and respond to the saving love of Jesus. Pray also for Journey Home, a Metro Vancouver Christian ministry that is currently aiding these refugees.

Pregnancy Options, please pray specifically that women would be able to find their Centre; that new avenues of outreach and advertising would be opened to them so that everyone facing a crisis pregnancy knows that they are available to offer compassion, mercy and hope.

Haiti, as they enter hurricane season. Pray for protection as well as aid in order to rebuild.

Family of Sandy Glum, a friend of Jan Frew who passed away a short while ago. Pray for peace and comfort during this difficult time.
