Journal Process• Improved communications is one of the
continuous goals of the X-Cats. We support this goal with the journal essay “Achievment Chart” requirement.– Mentors will be required to submit Journal essays.– All team members will submit journal essays.
• Journal 1 – Personal (written and oral presentation)– New Team Members: About yourself and why you joined the X-Cats– Returning Team Members: An accomplishment as an X-Cats
• All journal essays must be emailed to the [email protected] team for posting on the X-Cats Website
Journal Notes• All journal essays must be emailed to the
[email protected] team.– PAW team will edit and post on your individual web page– You will be able to add pictures and graphics and control layout
of your page as you desire.• NOTES:
– Please do not wait till the last minute. – Consult other team members or mentors if you need assistance
with your essay. – Review other’s team members essays for ideas.– Make the most of this opportunity to improve your
communications skills. You are not graded on this, but you’ll want to be proud of your submissions.
Personal Journals(New Members)

meeting. You will be allotted 3 minutes.– It must also be emailed to the PAW team.
Accomplishments (Returning Members)
In this essay, tell about an accomplishment since you’ve been on the X-Cats. Here are some suggestion of what you can include in this journal:– How long have you been on the team - roles– What have you done to further the team?– What has FIRST / X-Cats done for you?
