WINKLERS’ INSIDER TIPGiogo d’Asta and Alpe di RodengoFancy a bike ride to a breath-taking mountain peak? The fun starts in Mantana, where we turn right towards Ellen and face some steep climbs. We continue on a paved road that gives us beautiful glimpses of the Val Pusteria. At the end of this road, we follow the forest path that soon leads us beyond the tree line. Here we enjoy an amazing view of the Odle of Val di Funes, the Sass Putia and the mountains of the Val Pusteria. The summit cross of Monte Croce (El-lener Kreuz) can be seen as well. The mountain bike route ends at the nearby alm huts. To reach the peak, we have to push our bikes upwards – after about ten minutes we are standing on the top of the 2,194 m high Giogo d’Asta – the view is absolutely stunning. To return to the starting point, we pass through the picturesque Alpe di Rodengo, Roden-go, Rio di Pusteria, Vandoies and San Lorenzo.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In case of late arrival or early departure,

and in case of cancellations made less

than 10 days prior arrival, we charge 70%

of the reservation price. In case of cancel-

lation, we are entitled to retain the deposit

as administration fee.

TRAVEL CANCELLATION INSURANCE

Sometimes life gets in the way. To be on

the safe side, we recommend you to take

out a travel cancellation insurance. The

fee varies depending on the length of

your stay: 1-2 days = 20 €; 3-6 days = 40 €;

7-10 days = 60 € and from 11 days = 90 €.

It covers all cancellation fees in case of

accident, illness, death, or serious events

that may occur to the insured as well as

their children, siblings or parents. The in-

surance does not cover costs that may re-

sult from late arrival or early departure. If

you wish to take out this insurance, simply

transfer the respective fee together with

your deposit. In case of cancellations up

to 3 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit will

be credited towards your next holiday. The

Coming on the A22 Brennero motorway,

take the Bressanone/Val Pusteria exit and

continue towards Brunico/Dobbiaco/San

Candido. After 30 km, shortly before Bru-

nico, lies the market town of San Lorenzo.

To reach Hotel Lanerhof, drive 2 km ahead

in the direction of Val Badia and turn right

into the village of Mantana. To reach Hotel

Winkler, drive ca. 1 km past San Lorenzo

until you reach the village of Santo Ste-

fano. To reach Hotel Sonnenhof, drive

past San Lorenzo towards Brunico until

you reach the roundabout at the town en-

trance. Take the Falzes exit and continue

for ca. 7 km.

ARRIVAL BY TRAIN

Railway service from Brennero via Mu-

nich-Innsbruck-Fortezza or from Verona

via Bolzano-Fortezza. In Fortezza, change

for Val Pusteria till San Lorenzo or Brunico.
