The Temper Trap bring out thier new album ‘Changing of Faces’. Exclusive interview inside on what inspired them to create a new album and their life of fame.

Iof midnight Taxi (Laura Harford & Connor Knight) about being given a record deal and becoming new editions to the music industry. Both were dressed very smartly but still with a look of rocker about them with the long hair, red highlights, stretchers in the ear etc. Both were very polite, Laura very bubbly and Connor be a cool dude, HA. They also spoke on behalf of, and about their fellow band members. Plus I got to ask them how they formed and how they got noticed to become a part of the music industry.

Firstly, congratulations on becoming EMI latest Band to be on its roster. Could I ask? How did you get noticed and how do you feel to become famous artists?

Laura: Thank you very much we’revery excited that we’ve hit it bigtime. Well we got noticed just by playing at pubs and clubs really, all local. Connor: Yeah, we also got noticed by word and mouth, people love our music and they promote our mu-sic to their friends. I mean… who wouldn’t.Laura: Hmmm… Well we’re really grateful to EMI for signing us up we don’t take it for granted at all. I know it’s gonna be hard work and I know a lot of pressure can be involved being a music artist, but I think we’re prepared and still can’t help but be over the moon I mean, were gonna be famous!

You quote that your band is ‘a work of art in progress’. What do you mean by that?

Connor: We are a work of art, we are musically talented and we will be the band that everybody will want to listen to. We are only in progress because the band has to polish off the finishing touches and then we’ll hit big Laura: We are a multi-cultural band with multi-cultural lyrics which work really really well together.We think that people will enjoy our

diverse music and will ap-preciate a change to the usual rock band. So, we jokingly

regarded our band as a work of art just for being different.

Who else is a member of your band and what instruments do you play?Connor: Well we’ve just had a change around since your photographers came to meet us, as to who plays what instrument. One of our former members quit just recently as he was uneasy about becoming famous.Laura: He knew in his heart that he would become uneasy about being in a famous band and made the wise decision for himself that he would no longer join us. I respect his decision and wish him best of luck in the future.Connor: Yeah well… Both Laura and Josh harmonise and play guitar, Naam now plays the piano instead of the guitar, Andre plays the drums instead of the piano and I…
