Hold fast to dreamsFor if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged birdThat cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreamsFor when dreams goLife is a barren fieldFrozen with snow. Langston Hughes

Dreams

• from being a kid, to growing up• nothing remains the same• from the shoes you wear• to the style of your hair• nothing remains the same• from what you like• to where you bike • nothing remains the same• ’cuz when your 4• its your floor • with nothing for you to do• but when you get older• you have much more to do• but getting older isn’t all bad• you can do more• see more• be more• its a long road

nothing remains the same

Conflict

• Anger. its never good,• weather it comes around

often, • or hides in your hood,• it may even spark a conflict,• the makes u feel like your

burning inside,• or its the result of one,• that makes you want to hide.• Anger and conflict are

sisters,• staying very near,• so whenever your angry,• you know a conflict is near

You can’t write a poem about poetry

• you cant write a poem about poetry• its impossible you see• ‘cuz poems are truly and simply• everywhere you can see• the hide in the bottom of shoes• and over the hills and trees• even between your toes• and hiding between your knees.• So as you can see,• you cant write a poem about poetry• It’s just not something you’ll ever see
