De incio Jonas nem quisobedecer e tentou fugir deDeus. O Senhor, porm, fezsoprar um forte vento sobreo mar, e caiu umatempestade to violentaque o barco ameaavaarrebentar-se. Todos os

marinheiros ficaram commedo!

At first, Jonah did not want

to obey and so ran away

from God. God sent a strong

wind and a terrible storm.

The storm shook the boat

back and forth and the

sailors were terrified!

The sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the sea. Immediately, the seabecame calm.

Jonas obedeceu e foi a Nneve. Ao ouvir as palavras de Jonas, o povo deNneve creu em Deus. Eles se arrependeram e Deus lhes perdoou.

Jonah obeyed and wentto Nineveh. When the people of Nineveh heard Jonahs

message, they believed Gods Words. They repented and God forgave them.
