During the day hours at Bay Street

I altered clothing pieces and

prepped for the show that night.

During the show I performed quick

changes with the actor’s, primarily

working with Garret Dillahunt

(pictured left).

Had the task of diving into who these

characters were. As young women growing

up in Civil War era Massachusetts, the

development of each girl was crucial. Each

March sister was discovering who she is and

finding the right voice, in a time that

didn’t allow women to be so bold. Each

March sister brought a beauty but strength

to her own life that proceeded out into the

lives of the friends and family they had

along their journey.

The personalities of each

sister was so unique and

beautiful, my focus was to

showcase that. Every quirk

and individuality, but also

presenting that they are

sisters and belong together,

they are a team.

were.

Song: Jump, Jive, and Wail

Choreographer: Becky Timms

My inspiration for this piece was a 1940’s Military

dance hall. The choreographer wanted a very

American feel, so I chose to put the women in red,

white and blue. For the men I had them all in

matching olive pants white shirts and black ties

and belts to represent the Army.

Added Bias tape trim, to add a pop

of color to the garments.

To ensure every girl had an

element of red, white and blue.
