Committee Assignment

• Propose a final attendance area for Heritage Middle School– Retain middle school attendance area

changes that went into effect fall 2006 to avoid moving students again

– Create Attendance area that will go into effect fall 2007

• Propose an attendance area for Rocky Mountain High School– Consider boundary changes for fall 2007 to

relieve overcrowding at Mountain View High School

– Create Attendance area that will go into effect fall 2008

– Make a recommendation regarding “grandfathering” seniors

RECOMMENDATION: The committee will recommend allowing all seniors to choose to stay in their current high school for their senior year.

The committee recommends including the section of Frontier Elementary south of Ustick in the Lowell Scott Middle School attendance area. This change will prevent a small percentage of Frontier students from splitting from their peer group as they enter middle school. This area currently attends Lewis and Clark Middle School.
