Joint degreeIs regulated by the law on higher education and by the

government decree on its’ implementationIf: partners have right to offer the programme

in their home country, partners are state recognized HEIs in their

home country, there is an agreement on the organization, the result of the programme is a joint /

multiple degree, the agreement defines the programme

belonging to a Hungarian field of study, and a level of qualification (or postgraduate specialized training).

Launching a joint degree in Hungary

There is no need to ask for permission of operation for the foreign partners.

The Hungarian Accreditation Board has to offer an opinion on the field of study and the level of qualification of the programme.

The joint degree programme has to be registered at the Educational Authority.

(specially admission, administration of achievements, transfer of statistical data)

Legal status of student,The rights and responsibilities of students at

institutions,Automatic credit transfer between partners in

the programme, Joint or multiple degree, Financial agreement

Justifications of state recognition of partners in their home country

The throughout renewal: raised to master level, one possible path after the

bachelor, pedagogical character, two subject orientation, semester long in-service training

The Hungarian modell

MA: 40 + 40 + 40 + 30 training = 150(min. 30 + max 50 + 40 + 30 training = 150)

BA: 120 + 50 + 10 = 180

Content of the master

Two subject orientationExceptions to the general rule: vocational subjects, art subjects, religious subjects, following a disciplinary masters, following a pedagogical degree, following a college degree in

teaching, following a university degree in/not

in teaching (in a joint degree?)

General entrance conditions 110 credits of disciplinary studies in

subject A, 50 credits of disciplinary studies in

subject B, 10 credits of pedagogy and

psychology.

Special entrance conditions 10 credits is not demanded from

applicants holding a pedagogical degree,

Special Pedagogical Modules as subject B are exempt from the 50 credits entrance condition,

C1 level language exam is required from foreign language teachers
