Club Activities
We conduct educational presentations, competitions, field trips, workshops, exhibitions, and civic projects.
Programs
We frequently meet for programs which range from photographic techniques and software instruction to critique sessions and contests.
Competitions
Several times a year, we conduct a print competition. We also conduct a Photo of the Month competition online. Points go towards the Photographer of the Year competition.
Field Trips
We go to a variety of locations, sometimes connected by a theme with a presentation and competition.
Exhibitions
We hold an annual exhibition of framed prints and projected images provided by our members for the public to view.
Civic Projects
Some of our members volunteer to photograph or instruct at locations around the state. We are contributing photographers for Preservation North Carolina, the Raleigh Historic Development Commission, and the Historic Oakwood District.
The Capital City Camera Club is a photography organization whose members have a great variety of photographic interests: portraits, wildlife, landscape, macro, abstract, and architecture. The club provides these photographers, who represent all skill levels, with a forum to share their work and develop their photographic talents.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of the month at JC Raulston Arboretum Education Center. Social time begins around 6:30 PM, and the meeting starts at 7:00 PM. (See map)
