TABC is happy to announce our fall membership drive which includes a discount for coaches who join be-tween now and October 15, 2018. By joining prior to the basketball season, coaches can use their membership card everywhere it is accepted for the entire season. Coaches will receive all TABC Roundball Round-up newslet-ters which include valuable information on nomination deadlines, clinic information and basketball news from around the state. Getting a majority of coaches to join now also allows the TABC staff, officers and board mem-bers to work to secure top clinic speakers, dedicate time to the rankings, and promote all things connected with basketball statewide instead of having to track down delinquent members who put off joining until the last mi-nute. Below is the dues format:
Individual Dues: $25 Before October 15, 2018 Group Rates: Before October 15, 2018 (3 or more from one school) $20 each (8 or more from one school) $15 each (15 or more from one school) $10 each Group memberships must be sent in together, either online, mailed or faxed. Remember, late fees apply to memberships after October 15, 2018!

Dear TABC Members,
We hope all of you are feeling refreshed and re-energized in anticipation of the 2018-19 school year! It seems as if every school year comes and goes faster and faster. Take the time to thank those who have helped you and positively impacted your career! We all need to be great teammates to build great people for society’s benefit! We can’t thank the past TABC Presidents enough for their leadership and most recently Beth Jesurun of Bryan HS. Many thanks for her outstanding guid-ance and a job well done. Now, it is up to all of us, no matter our position or level to elevate our organization and profession to new heights! Be a willing and active participant to continue the upward momentum of TABC and our great game of basketball. We can ’t do great things by ourselves so let’s be great teammates on behalf of TABC, athletics, our profession and society! Our students and players need us to be that shinning and guiding light! Pay it forward! On behalf of TABC and our great profession we wish you many blessings this coming year and beyond! Let’s invest, unite and grow this together!! Get involved and be relentlessly passionate in all that we collaboratively take on as we reach and move higher. Do not hesitate to contact the TABC Staff, TABC Board, or Regional Coordinators with any and all suggestions and solu-tions. The positive and innovative legacy is in our hands and on our court! Let’s shoot for the stars!
Thank you very much! Yours in Basketball and All Things Related to TABC!!!

Many of them would welcome an opportunity to give back to the sport that has influenced their lives in such a positive way. Please contact your former players and let them know about the tax exempt TABC Education Fund. To contribute, please make checks payable to the TABC Education Fund, Inc. and mail them to:
TABC P.O. Box 2886

People, Places and Things Longtime TABC member Ron Henderson passed away on June 27th from complications of Alzhei-mer’s. Ron served as a teacher, coach, counselor, assistant principal and principal during his career that spanned over 40 years. He began in 1964 at Perryton with subsequent stops at Lockney, Semi-nole, Galena Park, Olney, Dumas, Graham, Alief, Pleasant Grove, Kerens, Dayton, Snyder, Plainview, Ropes and Brazoswood. He is survived by his wife Betty, a longtime teacher and sons Randy and Rick. Randy is currently the girls head coach at Vega and coached previously at Port Aransas, Canton and Plains, where his team won the 2014 class 1A division I state champion-ship. Rick lives in Lubbock and works for Automotive Marketing Solutions. At the TABC clinic this past May in San Antonio cash prizes were given out to over 30 coaches on Friday and Saturday. The prizes ranged from $50 up to $200 and were drawn from the stamp cards that coaches got stamped for visiting all of our TABC sponsors. Congratulations to all who won any of the prizes. The grand champion winner was Sean Armstrong of King HS in Corpus Christi for hauling in the $200 after the final speaker on Saturday. Jordan Luna of Clarendon was a $100 win-ner earlier that day. Thanks to all who participated. We will do it again next year. Next year's TABC clinic dates have been set for May 16, 17 and 18, 2019. The venues will be the same as this past clinic with the El Tropicano as the host hotel and site for our banquets on Thurs-day and Saturday and the welcome reception on Thursday. It will also host speakers on Friday night and Saturday morning and afternoon. The all-star games will be played on Friday, May 17 at Trinity University and the vendor show and first 2 days of clinic speakers will be at St Mary's University on the court in the arena.
