Attendance
Please ensure your child is on time for their session.
Morning: 8:45am—11:45am
Afternoon: 12:30pm—3:30pm
Being on time for their session helps the children to settle more quickly into play.
Children can come to nursery on their scooters or bikes. However, please take these
home again as we don’t have anywhere to store them safely.
Please contact us to let us know if your child will not be attending their session. If
we don’t have accurate registers this can affect our funding - which could impact on
the resources we are able to provide for your children, as well as child safety.
Congratulations Samantha! We are delighted to introduce our new
Nursery Interim Deputy Manager;
Sam Mitchell!
Sam will be familiar to most of you as
she has been with the nursery for over
two years and her typical
ebullient enthusiasm is all the more
amplified as she is delighted to begin
her new role.
With a Level 2 and Level 3 CACHE
Diploma in Childcare and Education, 8
years of experience in Education
and a first aid qualification; we are, as
we have always been, extremely
fortunate to have her.
Welcome to your new post Sam!
World Book Day!
We had great fun on World Book Day with the children and staff both dressing up as characters from
their favourite book!
We had princesses, cowboys, superheroes and even Gruffalos! A splendid time had by all!

Easter Bonnet Parade!
There were some amazing creations of Easter Bonnets on the last day of term and even the weather
couldn’t dampen the children’s spirits!
Thank you to all those that came along and supported the afternoon, and enjoyed something yummy
from the cake sale.
We made a total of £127.00 which is truly amazing, so thank you very much.
This will help towards our outside play area which we are looking at improving for the children’s
learning and development.
What’s Going on in the Baby Room this Term?
We are exploring our senses through touch this term.
This includes lots of messy play!
If you have any sensory items e.g. various materials, pasta etc., that you would
like to donate to help enhance your child’s learning it would be very welcome.
Please be aware that during messy play our babies find aprons very restricting
and the staff will leave the babies in their vests.
There is a high chance they will get very messy whilst having such fun, so we do
ask that you provide old clothes so that your best clothes don’t
become damaged.
What’s Going on in the 2-3 and
the 3-5 Year Old Rooms this Term?
Our focus for this term is stories and nursery rhymes and are scheduled as follows:
Week 1: Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Week 2: Gingerbread Man
Week 3: The Three Little Pigs
Week 4: Jack and the Beanstalk
Week 5: Three Billy Goat Gruff and The Gruffalo
Week 6 & 7: Nursery Rhymes
If the children have any books or toys which relate to the topics and would like to
share them; please send them in.
Other toys (apart from comforters) should be left at home in case they are
broken or lost.
