oriented research. Funded through the GCRC. Published two peer review manuscripts under my direction during this research year.

2005- 2007 Faculty advisor/mentor for Erin Michos, MD- Hopkins cardiovascular epidemiology MPH program and Hopkins cardiovascular fellowship. Currently, Dr. Michos is an assistant professor in the Cardiology Division in the Hopkins SOM. Published three peer review manuscripts under my direction from MESA and the Amish Studies.

2006- present Mentor to Gerald Bloomfield, MD,MPH, Assistant Chief of Service, Barker Firm, Department of Medicine. Currently Dr. Bloomfield is a cardiology faculty member at Duke University. Manuscript describing predictors of decline in renal function in MESA published.

2007- 2012 Mentor to Catherine Campbell, MD, Hopkins Medical Resident, Department of Medicine; Hopkins Cardiovascular Fellow- 7/08- 6/2012. I was Dr. Campbell's mentor for a masters degree in cardiovascular epidemiology at Bloomberg School of Public Health. We worked on multiple projects related to genetics of cardiovascular disease in MESA including a meta-analysis of the genetics of aortic valve calcium.
