Religious Education classes begin on: Wednesday, September 6, grades 1 through 8 (4:30 to 6:00 p.m.) Wednesday Evening, September 6, grades 7 and 8 (6:45 to 8:15 p.m.) Thursday, September 7, Grades 1 through 8 (4:30 to 6:00 p.m.)
Catechist Aides (grades 8 and above) who are practicing Catholics who attend Mass at least weekly and on holy days are needed. Please contact the Religious Education Department (ext 123), leave your name, phone number and a good time to return your call.
Religious Education Calendars were mailed to all registered families. Extra calendars are available in the vestibule of the Church.
Stamping/signing of Sunday bulletins for students in grades 2 and 8 who are preparing to receive a Sacrament this year begins the weekend of September 16 and 17.
When you bring your child to class or pick them up, please use the designated back door safety area only. Please do not tell your child to meet you somewhere else. Holy Rosary Parking – Requirements When entering the Holy Rosary parking area, please park your vehicle in a designated parking space. DO NOT park in the ‘No Parking’ space. DO NOT block lanes that exit the parking area. Adhere to all posted signs. We require your cooperation in this matter for the safety of all involved. Keep in mind, a little patience goes a long way. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is all about Adults receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Communion, Confession and Confirmation who want to become Catholic, as well as Catholics who need to catch-up on the Sacraments they never received when they were children. RCIA are relaxed, informal sessions for adults in this category. Sessions will begin in the fall on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Rectory. Other arrangements can be made for those who don’t fit that time frame. Call Msgr. Barry for more information.

THINKING OUT LOUD When two full time priests were assigned to Holy Rosary there were two daily Masses. Now only one full time priest is assigned here (except for a summer helper), so the daily Mass schedule was reduced from 6:30am and 8:30am to just an 8:30am Mass. Would it be of any help to daily Mass goers if the time of the Mass was switched to 7:30am? Of the people who went to the 6:30am and those who go to the 8:30am - want to go at 7:30am?
Gate of Heaven Cemetery has postponed the July 1st increase (our first price increase in four [4] years), until September 1, 2017. We are currently taking appointments over the phone to discuss ‘Pre-Need Planning’ options available for ground burial, interior/exterior mausoleum crypt space, or niches for the memorialization of your loved ones. Gate of Heaven Cemetery has recently undergone a multi-million dollar ‘renovation upgrade project’ and our grounds are more beautiful than ever!
