Muinami is a results oriented, focused and proactive Programme Leader: A Kenyan citizen with unique blend
of 10+ years of experience in:- program design and management; grants and awards management; partnership
management, value chain management; cash based Interventions (CBI) in fragile operations, monitoring &
evaluation and leadership of integrated development programmers in developing countries in Africa- Somalia, South

o Developed a Somalia Country AAHI strategy that was adopted by the AAHI

Provide technical financial support to CRH programme. CRH Programme is the largest in AMREF. Key
responsibilities include; Developing and maintaining systems to ensure proper data capture, analysing and reporting
financial performance of the project, producing financial reports to monitor performance of the project including
cash flow forecast and donor reporting, developing and compiling annual work programmes budgets, monitoring
variance and advising budget holders on management, Monitoring expenditure and advising budget holders on
controls and rreconciliation of financial reports with ledger accounts, Assist with review, drafting, developing of
Projects Budgetary Proposals and Annual Work Plans and other projects reports.

different donors; EC, USAID, UK, UNICEF, SIDA, CIDA and developing annual
plans guided by the detailed implementation plan, which I participated in
developing.
Member of AMREF Drought Response Core Team (DRCT) constituted by Country
Director to collated impact assessment reports from the field and develop devolved
concept notes with short and medium term interventions for the most affected
populations within programme areas (2011).

Successfully managed contracts and grants with over 20 key donors in health and
development interventions.
Intrapreneurship Part of cross function team that developed finance document tracking system to
monitor and track document flow. This idea was amplified by the management and
developed to a functioning enterprise resource planning (ERP) that positively
improved turnaround time and efficiency by 41%.
Part of Assessment team for CSOs for Global fund malaria Rd 1- Developed
assessment checklist in line with Global fund/AMREF guidelines for CSOs
selection.
Developing financial standard operating procedures for field level usage. This has
improved financial and programmatic performance, turnaround time and increased
total quality management.

PROJECT ACCOUNTANT, BUSIA CHILD SURVIVAL PROJECT (BCSP) –AMREF, MARCH 2006 –
MARCH 2009
BCSP was funded by USAID, Netherland & Spain. A tripartite project for child survival programme. I provided
technical financial support, reporting and funds management to Busia child survival project.

officer & managers on project financial management, Financial reporting.

Effectively managed BCSP, USAID and school health programme funds to extend that I
was honored for the best FSR report ever to be sent to Spain and USAID.

Facilitated linkages between CHWs, CSOs and Ministries of health structures
contributing to increased participation by CHWs, CSOs in planning annual operation
plans and continuous learning.

Designed and Introduction of detailed allowances payment tracking form in Busia Child
survival to monitor and track expenses for approvals. The Forms were modified and are
currently operational in AMREF in Kenya.
Introduced prudent fuel tracking sheet, controls and procedures in Busia Child Survival
project. Currently the Fuel monthly sheet is adopted by AMREF in Kenya transport unit
for monthly fuel usage and tracking.

The organization was funded by USAID, GAP, EC to improve health care and well-being of children & women in
