Sealed bids must be delivered to Gilbane’s Glastonbury Office before or by the close of the bid period. Late bids with be rejected and returned unopened.

3. Bid RFI Log dated 03/31/2020 has been issued.

4. JFK Middle School JCJ Architecture Addendum No. 3 dated 03/30/2020 has been issued.

5. Public Bid Opening Logistics: Upon careful consideration by both Gilbane and the Town of Enfield as it relates to the current situation revolving around COVID-19, please be advised of the following changes to the public bid opening process;

a. The bid opening will be held via live video conference ONLY. Bidders will NOT be permitted to attend the bid opening in person.

b. The live video conference of the public bid opening will open/begin for bidders to join at the specified bid due date/time.

c. Bids will be opened and read aloud on the live video conference thirty (30) minutes following the close of the bid period.

d. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in order by Bid Package within the specified wave of Bid Package due date/time indicated on the attached revised 00 42 26-EX.A Proposal Form – Exhibit A R2.

SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK

1. BP09F – Painting

a. Reference Specific Scope #2: Delete Reference to specification section 03 35 43 Polished Concrete Finishing.

2. BP11B – Kitchen Equipment

a. Reference Specific Scope #38: This bid package shall furnish the kitchen hoods for installation by BP23A. Include delivery to a location directly below their permanent location in the kitchen.

3. BP22A – Plumbing

a. Reference Specific Scope #2: Add Reference to specification section 23 11 23 Gas piping.

4. BP23A – HVAC

a. Reference Specific Scope #2: DELETE Reference to specification section 23 11 23 Gas piping. b. Reference Specific Scope #43: BP 11B will furnish the kitchen hoods for installation by BP23A.

BP11B will deliver the hoods to directly below their permanent location in the kitchen.

REMINDERS

1. Please be advise that the bid location has CHANGED. Sealed bids for the John F Kennedy Middle School Project will be received by Gilbane Building Company at Gilbane Building Company’s Glastonbury Office, 208 New London Turnpike Glastonbury, CT 06033 until the specified bid due date/time. Reference the attached map of Gilbane’s Office location.

2. Bid Bonds: Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total amount of the base bid. Said surety shall be issued by a surety that is licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut and is rated A-(VII) or better by A.M. Best. The bid security shall be drawn in favor of Gilbane Building Company.

3. Bidders shall EXCLUDE the cost of Payment and Performance Bonds from their base bid. Provide an ADD ALTERNATE in Section I of the Proposal Form for the cost of Payment and Performance Bonds.

4. Submit all RFIs via email to Nate Gengarella (ngengarella@gilbaneco.com)
