History of his life John Denver’s was born with the

name Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. on December 31, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico. Denver’s first wife was Annie Martell. They adopted two children, son names Zachary and a daughter Anne Kate. Denver and Martell later divorced in 1982. Denver did end up remarry in 1988 to actress Cassandra Delaney. The couple had one daughter Jesse Belle. Unfortunately this marriage only lasted to 1993. Four years later Denver was tragically killed on October 12, 1997. Denver was killed when his personal plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean near Pacific Grove, California, he was 53.

History of his music John Denver was a popular

acoustic folk and western county artist in the 1970’s. He was first introduced to music, at age eleven, when his grandmother have him an acoustic guitar. Denver recorded and released approximately 300 songs, which 200 of them he composed. In 1974 his album “Back Home Again” received an Academy of County Music award for album of the year. His best album was Poems, Prayers and Promises which has one of his greatest success on it “Take Me Home, County Roads”.

OpinionI was introduced to John Denver at a young age

by my father. I really enjoy listening to all of Denver’s different songs. It is tough for me to pick my favorite song. I am torn between “Rocky Mountain High” and “Take me Home, Country Roads”. I really like how most of Denver’s music is about the environment and the outdoors. I really enjoy the outdoors so this might be the reason why enjoy John Denver’s music so much.
