In  addition  to  this  application,  please  submit  a  video  audition  in  which  the  student  performs  two  pieces  of  his/her  choosing  (music  portion  should  last  no  longer  than  10  minutes  total).  

VIDEO  SUBMISSION  GUIDELINES  

 • Video includes 2 Segments

o Performance o 1 Minute interview that describes who you are. Please begin with your Name, School, Grade, a brief description

about your future musical and career goals, and why you would like to be a part of the 2016 Joe Zawinul International Student Music Exchange Program.

• Must have 2 Music compositions (Original compositions are encouraged) o Video should only be focused on the student, (Judges are not interested in seeing the accompaniment or other

people performing)

• Your Performance Video will be judge on the following Categories; o Originality o Musicianship o Presence o Interpretation o Performance

• All  Austrian  applicants  must  attend  the  “Z”  Award  ceremony.  

 • The  U.S  recipient  will  be  announced  on  May  18th,  2016  and  will  be  flown  to  the  “Z”  award  ceremony  located  in  

Gumpoldskirchen,  Austria  as  part  of  their  10-­‐‑day  cultural  experience.
