Joey’s Big Bass
by Joey Barnes
Once there was a man named Joey. Joey
had a dream of catching a big bass.
It was summer time and Joey went fishing every day. Joey loves to fish.
Joey fishes for bass, trout and cat fish.
He likes bass the best.
In the lake there was a big bass. The bass was
named big Al.
Big Al was a thirty-five pound bass. Joey really
wanted to catch this bass, but he needed
some new bait.
Joey arrived at the bait shop. He was looking at
some bait.
Joey bought top water frogs. He also bought some senkos(a rubber
worm).
Now it is Friday. It is hot and the water is clear,
Joey puts on a hook and senko on his line.
For a while Joey tries fishing with the senko. No
fish are seen by Joey. Finally, he puts on the top
water frog.
Joey tries the top water frog on the water and jiggles it. Suddenly SWISH- SWISH- SWISH, the eager beast of a bass comes swimming to the top of
the water SPLASH! I got him, I got big Al! Big Al is so big he weighs thirty-
five pounds I am so happy I got him. THE END
