LOUIS – Fontbonne University has named Joseph R. Havis vice president of enrollment management. He began Feb. 2 and will oversee the university’s admissions, financial aid, and international affairs departments. Havis replaces Suzanne Swope, who held the position for three years and announced her retirement in the fall. Havis joins Fontbonne after serving as vice president of enrollment at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark. Previously he has served as the director of admission, director of undergraduate admission, assistant director of admission, and admission counselor at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill. “It is exciting to have Joseph’s energy, enthusiasm and experience at the helm of our enrollment efforts as we move forward as an institution,” said J. Michael Pressimone, Fontbonne president. “We are a university taking a progressive position, and I’m confident Joseph’s specific skill set and relevant enrollment experience will help us reach our growth goals.” Havis holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Millikin University and a master’s degree in education administration from Eastern Illinois University. He and his wife, Jody, who owns An Affair to Remember, a wedding and special event business in St. Louis’ Central West End, have local ties. His family lives in Edwardsville, Ill., and his wife’s family is from Alton, Ill. The couple plans to reside in Edwardsville.

Fontbonne Names Vice President of Enrollment Management

ST. LOUIS – Fontbonne University has named Joseph R. Havis vice president of enrollment management. He began Feb. 2 and will oversee the university’s admissions, financial aid, and international affairs departments. Havis replaces Suzanne Swope, who held the position for three years and announced her retirement in the fall.

Havis joins Fontbonne after serving as vice president of enrollment at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark. Previously he has served as the director of admission, director of undergraduate admission, assistant director of admission, and admission counselor at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.
