SCALE £11 per hour HOURS & TERM 24 hours PW over 2.5 Years. REPORTS TO: CEO of BWA Limited RESPONSIBLE FOR: Support Staff & Volunteers. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To engage clients who are most disadvantged unemployed and economically inactive and are living in the town of Tipton aged over 24 years old with significant barriers to employment, to connect them with specialist services and provide an advisory, support, training and refferal service with the aim of assisting them into sustainable employment.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

1. To engage and manage a caseload of clients and to provide them with advice, information and guidance with regards to finding suitable and sustainable employment.

2. To motivate clients to ensure attendance of BWA’s Employment Programme activities and to ensure that clients are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to move into sustainable employment.

3. To conduct face to face,telephone, letter or emails or work targeted interventions with clients and to provide a one to one induction including intitial assessment and action plan, completing paperwork to contractual and required quality.

4. To organise training activity for clients as required to meet the needs of the individual in their search for sustainable employment i.e interview techniques, CV, & training etc.

5. To maintain contact with the clients, retaining them on the BBO Bridges Programme.

6. To complete paperwork to ensure that clients files are maintained in line with contractual and quality compliance requirements.

7. To work effectively with BWA Limited team especially Employment Support Team as necessary to ensure sustainable employment targets are achieved.

8. To maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labour market and sector developments.

9. To conduct health and safety risk assessments in placement provider organisations and to ensure that providers are aware of their responsibilities to the job seeker in terms of health and safety and equal opportunities.

10. To have knowledge of the Safeguarding and to comply with this legislation at all times.

11. To update information on BWA’s Management Information System as required by contractual and quality standards.

12. To meet deadlines and targets as required by needs of the BBO Bridges programme.

13. To assist in the management of service quality, ensuring appropriate courses of action are developed, implemented and monitored where service delivery falls below the standards required in external contracts therefore ensuring contract compliance.

14. To manage self development and to provide effective support for your colleagues.

15. To work to the Matrix Standard as required by the or its partners.

16. To ensure that your own actions and those of your team reduce risks to health and safety and to work in line with the BWA’s policies and procedures.

17. To ensure awareness of the company’s Equal Opportunities policy and that your actions meet with the aims and objectives of this policy.

18. To work with the Employment Contract Administrators to ensure effective marketing and promotion of the Employment Programe activities

19. To prepare and present written, verbal and statistical reports to the CEO and the Management team as requested.

9. Ability to complete necessary paperwork and maintain files. Essential

10. Confidence in use of Microsoft word, excel and access to compile reports and monitor statistical data.
