JOB ANALYSIS
Job Analysis is a process to identify and determine in detail the particular job
duties and requirements and the relative importance of these duties for a given
job. Job Analysis is a process where judgments are made about data collected on
a job. The two outcomes of job analysis are job description and job specification.
The job description shows the duties and responsibilities of a job while job
specification deals with the specific skill set required doing a job.
Our group has prepared job analysis for two posts

Job Summary
y General nature of the job:o The job involves maintaining of database, reviewing
the resumes of the students and conduct preliminary
interview sessions with the students. Key role is
achieving Placements targets by matching vacancies in
companies with eligible students of Rajagiri Business
School. The placement officer is the one who meets
the corporate and builds a strong bridge between the
industry and the institution.

The Recruitment Plan
This recruitment plan has been made on the assumption that the budget for the
recruitment of both the positions is Rs. 20,000.
Determining Recruitment quantity
The number of requirements for the academic administration and the placement
office are one each. Positions that are held by the respective individuals are
academic administrator and placement officer. The need for recruitment was
realized when management decided to expand the batch size ofPGDM students.
So there occurred a gap in the departments. After doing a gap analysis the
number of positions to be filled was required.
Design of recruitment materials
The major design materials for the recruitment would be the questions that have
to be presented to the candidates. This can be either aptitude type of questions,
then the screening methods to be used and labor involved in screening process.
Sources of recruitment
External recruiting is the type of recruiting employed as there are no such means
to post the internal personnel into the respective posts. The channel that is used
for the advertising is newspaper due to the incredible reach of this medium. A
state which has the highest number of newspaper readers can be effectively
reached by this media.

Getting resume & Screening candidates
In response to the advertisements in the newspaper a large amount of resumes
will be received. These resumes are shortlisted on the basis of eligibility criteria,
basically done the recruitment committee. If the number exceeds the capacity ofthe selection committee exceeds the interview limit then the candidates would be
filtered by primary interview process involving critical incident method where a
situation involving the job would be presented and their responses or their
problem solving capacities are analyzed.
Selectionplan
The shortlisted or filtered candidates then will be interviewed by the principal and
board members, which can be regarded as the secondary interview process. This
process brings an end to the selection process, at the end of which the final
candidates can be given offer letters, which includes enumeration, job description
detailing the job responsibilities and duties to be performed.

advantage.
For placement officer the candidate should be Post- Graduate and must have a minimum of 7
to 10 years of industrial experience (marketing or sales managers will be preferred). Candidate
should possess excellent skills in public relations, C.V writing, communication and must alsohave a good network in the industry. Minimum age for the applicant must be 40+.
