Items of business
Billy day
Mark and Daisy are organising Billy Day which is probably going to be on the Thursday of May Week. A
Bop is going to take place on that evening.
Fitz Sessions
Rachel and James are trying to organise a Fitz Sessions for Friday, 11/05.
Fresher's week
The timetable will have to be approved on Monday, the 30th of April at the GPC meeting.
Major changes as compared to last year include:
The first evening will be open to second / third years as well.
We will open the corridor rep system to non-JMA members as well.
We will hold an LBGT meeting during Fresher's Week, details tbc.
Flea market? Details to be cleared up, so we are not going to add it to the Fresher's timetable but
rather organise it independently, e. g. as part of the Fresher's fair.
Fresher Room Redesign
A room in Bottom B has been redone. We will try to all have a look to pass some feedback to the College.
Making the winter ball annually
Simon Johnson & the ball committee plan to do the winter ball on an annual basis. Opinions on this were
mixed. Several members said that the success would probably rather depend on the commitment of thecommittees etc than the rate of balls. It was raised that this would probably rather be an issue for the
whole student body to decide, e. g. via poll.
Resound
Resound didn't sell as well as we hoped, as it was at last year's, so we will have to rethink the concept.
Issues that were raised included:
Rebranding to get rid of a possible bad reputation
Different timing (Beginning of Lent)
Abandoning the idea of a big event and work towards more small-scale events like Sessions etc.
Announcements
A Pub Quiz will take place on Saturday, 28th of April.
