Socio and Economic Survey:

The N.S.S. candidates

conducted a survey in Naygaon

village. N.S.S. volunteers visited the

houses of villagers and collected

information about their problems,

their standard of living, financial and

educational conditions, occupation

etc.

THURSDAY, 18th

DECEMBER

Clean And Green:

A Cleanliness and Tree

Plantation Drive was organized by

the N.S.S. Volunteers in Naygaon

village. The volunteers cleaned the

streets and planted trees along them

and near the Gram Panchayat.

FRIDAY, 19th

DECEMBER

Free Dental Checkup:

Free Dental Checkup was

carried out for the villagers with the

coordination of M.A. Rangoonwala

Dental Research and Science

College, Pune.

Nearly One Thousand

villagers were examined.

Prescription with necessary

instructions and free medicines were

given to them.

SATURDAY, 20th

DECEMBER

Cleanliness And Awareness Drive:

The N.S.S. unit cleaned the

Government Hospital, the Primary

and High School. The volunteers

interacted with the school children,

teaching them along with their

teachers and conveying to them the

importance of studies and

cleanliness. The volunteers also

made them aware about medical

health measures.

Free Legal Aid and Advice Camp:

Free legal Aid and Advice

Camp was held at Naygaon Village

Grampanchayat. Hon’ble Shri. G. B.

chief guest and Hon’ble Shri. V. J.

More, Civil Judge, Junior Division

and JMFC, Pune presided over the

function.

A Street Play was presented

by N.S.S. volunteers for Legal

awareness on different Law topics

Legal Awareness on

different law topics was given to

villages and their doubts were on

legal issues were clarified. The

students presented a street play on

Prevention of Child Labour and

Child Marriage.

Cleanliness Work at Temple And

Darga:

N.S.S. unit conducted

cleanliness work at the Temple and

Darga at Naygaon village and

planted trees along their premises for

their beautification.

Free Medical Checkup:

Free Medical Checkup was

given to the villagers with the

coordination of Unani Medical

College, Azam Campus.

Villagers were examined by

the doctors and prescriptions along

with free medicines were given to

the villagers.

Save Environment and Pollution

Awareness Campaign:

N.S.S. Volunteers conducted

‘Save Environment and Pollution

Awareness’ drive. The volunteers

organized a rally in the streets of

Naygaon village to create awareness

on Environmental Pollution and

measures to prevent it.

The volunteers also dug pits

around the Temple, Darga,

Grampanchayat and along to streets

to be used for garbage dumping.

A Free Legal Aid Camp was

Magistrate and JMFC, Pune was the

Chief Guest and Hon’ble Shri. S. D.

Mahadar, Chief Judicial Magistrate and

JMFC, Pune presided over the function.

Legal Awareness on different topics was

Socio-Economic Survey at Naygaon

village. The volunteers gathered

information about the annual income of

the families, their living conditions, the

electricity, water supply to them,

availability of drinking water, education

of the children, medical facilities

available to them, the support they get

from the Gram Panchayat, their further

requirements, etc. from the villagers.
