    The park can be visited throughout the year. However, different seasons are suitable fordifferent purposes of the visit. For bird watching, the best season is from October to March.Though early mornings are very cold, the days are pleasantly warm and bright during thesemonths. For the sight of animals, the best months are from April to June. The days are hotand nights are cold in this season. The best season for viewing colorful flora is from July toSeptember. As it is the monsoon season, the days are humid with a pleasant weather atnights.

    The park has a wide collection of plants of about 600 species. They include trees, climbers,shrubs, ferns and grasses. The main trees found here are Sal, Sissoo, Khair and Date Palms.Many flowering plants like Indian Coral and Sesal. Some species like Teak, Eucalyptus,Silver Oak and Bottlebrush are planted in the park, like a feather in its cap enhancing thebeauty of the atmosphere. Many species of bamboos, grasses and shrubs are scatteredthroughout the region, making the place colorful.

    Fauna in Jim Corbett Park

    Jim Corbett is one of the most popular tiger reserves in India which houses a good numberof the endangered species Bengal tigers. Apart from tigers, it preserves many rare species ofanimals including the Asian elephants, leopards, spotted deers, Mountain goats, Jackals,Wild boars, Sloth bears, Porcupines, Civets, Langur Monkeys, Sambar, Barking deers, Hogdeers and wild cats. The park is home to around 600 species of birds. The Ramganga river isinhabited by fish eating crocodiles, Otters, Turtles and many fish species. Other reptiles inthe region include Rock Python, King Cobra and Monitor Lizard species.
