Japanese conversation parent's group

Returned JETs who now have a family

Parents/carers can get together and practice Japanese

Leader to lead conversation topic at the start

Kids can play together and be supervised at the same time

Possible locations: Local parks, McDonalds

On-going event (every week/fortnightly/monthly)

Potential for kids to have conversation in Japanese through games (oni gokko)

Back in January 2011...

The good thing is...the riverwalk has risen from the ashes!

It is a viable event because:

Members can socialise while walking

Pathway is easy for families who have kids to walk, prams-friendly

Minimal cost to participate

Easy to add on a yakisoba barbecue after the walk (if the committee decides to)

Single JETs can get together in a group speed-dating style

Non-single JETs can come along but must identify as taken

Must state limited liability for JETAA

What is JETAA really about?

Australia Japan relationships

Assisting JETs pre departure and upon return

Maintaining our connection with Japan

Supporting Japanese communities through fundraising, raising awareness
