• A pre-requisite to any airline selection board is the completion of both MCC and JOC courses.
• To successfully complete a transport jet Type Rating, in addition to MCC competencies, you also need to understand the handling qualities of a modernjetairlinerandbeproficientintheflyingskillsneededtooperateaheavy, high performance Aeroplane.
• The PTC Jet Orientation Course has been designed by experienced Airline Training professionals and uses state-of-the-art Airbus A320 simulation technology to develop the additional competencies required before any meaningful attempt can be made at a jet Type Rating.
• Our Jet Orientation Course focuses on:• Flight path management competency, including energy management,
as Pilot Flying (PF), and associated active monitoring skills as Pilot Monitoring (PM).
• Manufacturer and airline procedures which are used to develop understandingoftheaeroplaneflightenvelope,inertiaandtherelationship between thrust and attitude.
• An introduction to upset prevention and recovery (UPRT), which builds confidence,skill,andresilience.
