Miss Alstott Class Newsletter 1 About Me I grew up near the small town of Caroline, AB on a farm. I have been riding horses ever since I was big enough to sit up in the saddle. My first horse’s name was gorgeous angel. When I was 13 I started working every summer at Camp Caroline where I taught kids and adults of all ages how to ride. I did this for 5 years! I attended Caroline School from grades K-12 and graduated as valedictorian in my class of 20 students. After graduating I attended the University of Calgary for 1 year as a Biomedical Sciences student before deciding to come to RDC as an education student. I prefer Red Deer to Calgary because it is closer to home and has more of a small town feel. Family Family has always been important to me. I am so blessed to have an extremely supportive family that helps me pursue my goals. I have three younger siblings between the ages of 11 and 15. My mom works at Caroline School and my dad runs the family farm. My parents also run the family outfitting business. We take clients from all over the world and guide them on 14 day bighorn sheep hunts. My palomino pony “Beau” and I.

About Me I grew up near the small town of Caroline, AB

on a farm. I have been riding horses ever since

I was big enough to sit up in the saddle. My

first horse’s name was gorgeous angel. When I

was 13 I started working every summer at

Camp Caroline where I taught kids and adults

of all ages how to ride. I did this for 5 years! I

attended Caroline School from grades K-12

and graduated as valedictorian in my class of

20 students. After graduating I attended the

University of Calgary for 1 year as a Biomedical

Sciences student before deciding to come to

RDC as an education student. I prefer Red

Deer to Calgary because it is closer to home

and has more of a small town feel.

Family

Family has always

been important to

me. I am so

blessed to have an extremely supportive family that helps

me pursue my goals. I have three younger siblings between

the ages of 11 and 15. My mom works at Caroline School

and my dad runs the family farm. My parents also run the

family outfitting business. We take clients from all over the

world and guide them on 14 day bighorn sheep hunts.

My palomino pony “Beau” and I.

Travel

I love to travel! In Canada I have been to British

Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I have

also been to Montana, Mexico, Cuba, France and

Italy. Italy was by far my favorite! I hope to one

day travel to Greece, Australia and New Zealand.

I’m not one to pick favorites but Timmy was

my favorite dog. I am definitely a dog per-

son. I never used to like cats but I am com-

ing around. Timmy was the cutest little

mutt ever! I would take him on walks and

have to carry him the whole way back. He

will be our class mascot for this year!

Sports

All throughout school I

participated in many

different sports. When

I was younger, I danced and figure skated. As I

grew older, I became more interested in team

sports such as volleyball, bas-

ketball and baseball. I also love

coaching sports and will be

helping with running the vol-

leyball program this year.
