Cost Motor Cost is about the same. But controller cost are different More powerful, more expensive (percentage of diff.)

Efficiency Brushless motor efficiency is higher Brush motor has better chance for higher torque. (with

Lead Acid battery)

Safety Feature Brushless motor has better safety features. When controller MOSFET fail, motor just stops Brushless motor EMC issue in general is less serious.
