Chair of ITLS of Florida committee, currently serving as chapter coordinator.

(3) Describe your prior involvement with ITLS (committees, teaching etc): Global

Development, Chapter Support and Military Task Force committees. Serve on all three for

quite a few years.

(4) Can you attend ITLS International Trauma Conference business meetings? Yes

(5) Why are you interested in serving as Vice Speaker? I have help out in the vice chair

capacity and would like to continue to serve for the good of the organization.

(6) What is your understanding of the mission of ITLS? ITLS has a global mission to reduce

injury and to improve trauma patient outcomes through superior educational efforts. Through

the work of its chapters, ITLS has become a family of great educators, providers and clinicians

who are willing to donate their time. I hope to be able to continue with my contributions for

many years to come.

(7) What would you hope to accomplish as Vice Speaker? Hopefully run successful

meetings for as long as I am needed.

history of volunteering with both fire and EMS organizations. I have held line officer positions

including Captain VFC to Training officer for Pittsburgh EMS. I have managed EMS services and

other community based programs. Recently I chaired the committee to develop and implement

National Occupational Standards for EMT Basic for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

educator with more than 30 years of EMS education experience. I currently belong to the Global

Development Committee and serve as mentor for developing ITLS programs within the Kingdom

experience I bring to the table is of great benefit to the organization. It is my desire as Vice-

Speaker to get to know many of the members of the organization and allow them to know me.

(6) What is your understanding of the mission of ITLS ? The mission of ITLS is to reduce

mortality and morbidity of victims suffering from trauma. Through research, cooperation, and

program planning, educational programs are developed to allow medical practitioners to rapidly

assess traumatic injury.

(7) What would you hope to accomplish as Vice Speaker? As Vice-Speaker I hope to

enlighten the membership to issues of concern in the development of globally relevant

programing. I also hope to better understand the function of the organization and how I

can continue to contribute to its growth
