Philippine Mission to the UN, Geneva (April 2011-February2013)

Assisgned as Minister, in charge of Humanitarian & Disarmament Affairs, and Consul General Served as Philippine Representative to International Humanitarian Agencies and Processes in Geneva, and actively participated in their proceedings: UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (OCHA) UN International Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) Organized 2011 Philippine Workshop on Disaster Response Law International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) ASEAN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs Nansen Initiative (NI) Initiative to Strengthen International Humanitarian Law (IHL) State Compliance Coordinated UN and International Humanitarian Assistance for Philippine Disasters, including Typhoon Sendong (Dec 2011), Typhoon Pablo (Nov 2012) . Oversaw Philippine Relations with the United Nations System, the International Red Cross System, the International Organization on Migration, and related International Organizations Served as Secretary-General, National Council on UN Peacekeeping Operations (NCUNPO) Served as DFA Representative to various Inter-Agency Bodies including the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDRRMC), Philippine Climate Change Commission (CCC), Office of the Presidential Assistant for Recovery and Rehabilitation (OPARR), etc. Served as DFA Focal Point for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Climate Change, International Humanitarian Law (IHL), etc. Served as Co-Chair, International Commitment Fund (ICF) Headed DFA Typhoon Yolanda Action Center (TYAC) (November 2013-March 2014), and coordinated international humanitarian assistance for Yolanda-affected areas. Co-led / Joined Philippine Delegations to various UN / ASEAN Conferences including the UN General Assembly (UNGA), UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting / Summit, etc (2013-14) Led Missions to the United Kingdom and Canada for strengthening Civilian-Military Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) Cooperation (2014). Coordinated DFA efforts for the evacuation of UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) AFP Peacekeepers in the Golan Heights (August 2014). Coordinated the Presidents participation in the 2014 UN Summit on Climate Change (New York, September 2014). Organized 2nd Global Conference on the Disaster Response Dialogue (DRD) in Manila (2014). Organized South-East Asian Regional Conferences in Manila on the Montreux Document on Private Military and Security Companies (2013), the Nansen Initiative (2014), the Geneva Declaration on Armed Violence & Development (2014). Organized the 2013 Celebration of International Humanitarian Law Month. Organized the Diplomatic League (Association of International Relations Students) and Corps of Diplomatic Volunteers.
