JCDV has a range of facilities and resources

aimed at making academic journey as smooth,

invigorating and pleasurable as possible. The

facilities add extra dimensions to life on campus

from the artistic and cultural, to the recreational

and athletic arena.

Fun and fitness provide the much needed

balance to work and study. On offer are a wide

variety of sports facilities, including JCD National

Cricket Academy.

JCD National Cricket Academy was established in

the year 2008 at Vidyapeeth under the dynamic

patronage of Sh. Digvijay Singh Chautala. This

academy was started to facilitate the budding

cricketers of the, so far neglected, region and

also to bring the hidden talents into the limelight.

The State-of-Art International Cricket Stadium

comprising all the facilities as per the international

standards held its first 11 day International League

Twenty 20 Cricket Tournament with eight teams

including those from UAE, Pakistan and Srilanka in

the tournament. The second 15 days International

League Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament was also

hosted with eight teams including those from UAE,

Hong-Kong, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

An active and dynamic programme of securing jobs

for students graduating from JCD Vidyapeeth is

Established in the year 2003, JCDM College of Pharmacy is duly

approved by AICTE & PCI and affiliated to Pt. B. D. Sharma

University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. JCDM College of Pharmacy

has established itself as a centre of excellence in Pharmaceutical

Sciences in North India and provide a multi-disciplinary,

multifaceted curriculum involving study of discovery of new drug

molecules to its evaluation, development, approval for human

consumption, manufacturing and every other important aspect.

The college is one of the Major Pharmaceutical Research

Vidyapeeth provides a home away from home to its

students. We have two well-planned and

aesthetically designed hostels named Kalpana

Chawla Hostel & Mata Harki Devi Hostel for girls and

three JCD Boys Hostels Ravindernath Taigore, Dr.

Rajender Prasad and Subhash Chander Bose for the

boys with a mess and all recreational facilities within

the hostel premises.

The campus has Principals' residences, Staff

residences and most of the staff members stay on

campus. Vidyapeeth has its own shopping arcade to

Registration

The candidate must get registered for a program on

the first day of academic session. If a student fails to

do so for a period of one week or more, then his/ her

name shall be struck off the rolls of the Institute.

Uniforms

The students are required to wear the uniform on the

days as prescribed by the Institute.

Reservation

The allocation of seats for the reserved categories

shall be as per the policy of State Govt.

Grievance Redressal Committee

In pursuance of AlCTE's notification E. No. 37- 3/

Legal/2012 dated 25 May, 2012, the Vice- Chancellor

GJUS&T, Hisar has constituted the Grievance

Redressal Committee: The students can submit their

grievances, if any, to the Convener/ Principal for

getting it resolved as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONSAnti-Ragging Affidavit

As per State Govt. Rules, the candidates seeking

admission above 18 years of age shall have to

themselves, and in case they are below 18 years of

age their parents shall have to execute an affidavit

duly attested by the Oath Commissioner as per

prescribed format that will be supplied at the time of

admission. Failing to file affidavit shall be considered

to be incomplete process of admission and the

student can be discharged any time during any

academic year.

Our Institute aims at maintaining a healthy and

congenial academic environment that shall be free

from the menace of ragging.

JCD Vidyapeeth maintains that: Ragging is Unsocial,

Illegal, Punishable and has been completely banned in

any form whatsoever by the Hon 'ble Supreme Court

of India.

Ragging defined as "Any act causing, inducing,

compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of

practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which

detracts from human dignity or violates his person or

exposes him to ridicule or forebears from doing any

lawful act, by intimidating, wrongfully restraining,

wrongfully confining, or injuring him by using

criminal force towards him or by holding out to him

any threat of such intimidation, wrongful restraint,

wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal

force."

Any act that the authorities consider falling within the

ambit of Ragging given in the definition above would

invite severe punishment.

Any student found indulging in Ragging would be

fined Rs 50,000/- and expelled from the Institute. In

addition, an FIR would also be lodged against the

defaulters.

Students are further advised to resist from indulging

in Ragging. Defaulters would be dealt with severely.

Any compromise reached with the victim later would

not be considered as a plea for lenient punishment. If

the individuals committing or abetting ragging are

not/cannot be identified, collective punishment can

be awarded to act as a deterrent.


Ch. Devi Lal, a veteran freedom fighter, a rebel

against the British Raj, a symbol of patience and

fortitude, was a man of action, be it in freedom

movement, post-independence politics or for the

amelioration of the plight of the suffering

peasantry. Never compromising with quality of life

and standards, Ch. Devi Lal stood by his

convictions. He was looked upon not only with

love and affection during his younger days, but

also with reverential awe in his later life, when he

was popularly nicknamed 'Tau'. His multifaceted

personality exacted admiration. It is not easy to

describe the like of him - a legend and institution

by himself - adequately in words.

About Ch. Devi Lal, one can recall Shakespeare's

lines:

His life was gentle and the elements So mix'd in

him that Nature might stand up And say to all the

world, this was a man!

The legendary leader Ch. Devi Lal is often

remembered by all those who came into his

contact. People often sit and talk about him and

of his affable nature, his sparkling laughter, his

outspokenness and about his sense of sincerity

and commitment. Millions cherish his memory

with love, fondness and reverence. He will

continue to inspire generations.
