THE  ULTIMATE  VOLUNTEERING  EXPERIENCE  OF  THE  YEAR!!!  JCC  Maccabi  Games®  Team  Volunteering  Opportunities  

(Sun.,  Aug.  10  –  Fri.,  Aug.  15,  2014)    

What   are   the   JCC  Maccabi  Games®?  The  Games  are  a  5-­‐day  Olympic-­‐style  sporting  competition  held   annually   in  North  America   for   13-­‐   to   16-­‐year-­‐olds.     This   year,   the  Boca  Raton   JCC  has  been  chosen  to  host  the  Games.  Over  1,000  teens  from  literally  all  over  the  world  will  be  arriving  in  Boca  to  play  9  different  sports.    Another  180+  local  athletes  will  also  be  competing  in  our  Games.    These  kids  will  spend  their  days  competing  and  their  evenings  celebrating  at  different  venues  throughout  our  Community.  Every  athlete  will  also  participate  in  a  local  Community  Service  Project.  The  Games  are  nearly  99%  Volunteer  Driven  –  We  Need  Over  1,000  Volunteers  –  WE  NEED  YOU!!!    Who  can  do  Team  Volunteering  at  the  Games?    Members  of  any  business,  organization,  club,  or  group  of  friends  can  volunteer  together  at  a  Sport  or  Activity  (and,  of  course,  on  their  own).    Why  should  we  do  Team  Volunteering  at  the  Games?  Volunteering  is  good  for  the  mind  and  the  body.    It  is  also  good  for  Team  Building.  Not  to  mention  Promotion  -­‐-­‐  if  your  business,  organization,  club  or  group  has  10  or  more  Volunteers  volunteering  together,  the  JCC  will  recognize  you  during  the  Games  and  you  can  promote  that  your  group  is  actively   involved  in  our  Community.    You  can  carpool  and,  of  course,  everything  is  always  more  fun  with  friends.        How  do  we  Team  Volunteer  at  the  JCC  Maccabi  Games®?    

1) PICK YOUR DAY(S) – Sunday, August 10 – Friday, August 15, 2014  2) PICK YOUR TIME(S) -- morning, afternoon, evening, 2 hours, 4 hours, or all day, 1 day, all 5 days 3) PICK YOUR SPORT OR ACTIVITY – Pick one (or two) and Own It!!!!!!!!!!

** The Athletic Competitions are being played at venues throughout Boca Raton and Delray Beach. Each Sport needs 100+ Volunteers daily to be Scorekeepers, Timekeepers, Medical Personnel, Safety Patrol, Water & Ice, Athlete and Volunteer Check-in Helpers, Transportation Helpers.
