Preface

As the new academic session 2018-19 is going to make beginning, we the committee members made an

attempt for the formation of institutional planning, a vital document for the efficient and smooth

functioning of the Vidyalaya.

While preparing this document, the guidelines sent from time to time by the Regional Office and Head

Quarter to reiterate the planning for achieving pre-determined objectives through optimum utilization of

available resources in this Vidyalaya and for meeting with the immediate augmentation.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme

Introduction

In accordance with the National policy of Education 1986, Government of India started Jawahar

Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) all over the country except Tamilnadu. These are co-educational,

residential schools, fully financed by government of India and run by an Autonomous

Organisation, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Presently the JNVs are spread in 27 states and 6 Union Territories. The medium of instruction is

mother tongue or regional language up to class VIII and English thereafter, for Mathematics, and

Science. Though admission to these Vidyalayas is at class VI level, in order to optimally utilize

infrastructure facilities available, vacant seats at class IX level are filled through an All India

Level Selection Test. While education is free in the Schools including board & lodging, uniforms

and textbooks, a nominal fee of Rs.600/- per month (Rs. 1500/ per month whose parents are Govt.

employee) will be collected from the Children from IX to XII class. However, children belonging

to ST/SC, girls and from the families whose income is below poverty line are exempted from

payment of fee.

Students of JNVs appear for X and XII class Examination of the Central Board of Secondary

Education.

Objective of the Scheme:

1. To promote National Integration among students through a policy of migration.

2. To promote good quality modern education including a strong component of culture,

inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical

education to the talented children from the rural areas, without regard to their family’s

socio-economic condition. to ensure all round development of the talented students.

3. To establish pace institutions to be models in the districts and to be resource centres for

promotion of excellence.

4. To ensure that all the students of Navodaya Vidyalayas attain a reasonable level of

competency in three languages as envisaged in three language formula.

5. To serve, in each district, as focal point for improvement in the quality of school

education in general, through sharing of experiences and facilities.

Ajmer is one of the districts of Rajasthan state. It is situated on State -highway. Jawahar

Navodaya Vidyalaya AJMER was established in the year 1987 at village NANDLA, Tehsil-

Nasirabad District AJMER a historic place on the outskirts of Nasirabad 05 K.M. It is well

connected by Train and Bus Route nearest Railway Station and Bus Stand Nasirabad is 05KM

from vidyalaya. This vidyalaya is working as focal point for so many other nearby school other

two CBSE schools are KV and Army school with in a radius of 05 Kilometer. Vidyalaya is also

working as Link Vidyalaya with the Government Senior Higher Secondary School Nasirabad and

is always lending helping hand to neighbourhood schools. For last several years this vidyalaya is

conducting Computer Literacy Programme for neighbourhood school and is providing free

computer education to nearby school.

Guidelines for Teachers

Teachers must make correction of notebooks at least once in a week.

Suitable remarks must be written on the notebooks and then follow up.

Ensure index on the front page of the notebook.

Sufficient homework should be given to the student.

Teacher should ensure that the student must write split-up of syllabus on their

respective notebooks.

Keep the corrected notebooks in records.

Discuss CBSE Pattern of question papers in Board Classes.

Send the notebooks to principal for counter signature weekly by Principal/Vice Principal.
