Who is Cristiano Ronaldo? My chosen player is the famous Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santo Aveiro. He was born on

the 5 of February, 1985, in Madeira, Portugal. His parents were Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and José Diniz Aveiro. Cristiano had

one elder brother and two elder sisters, which made him the youngest child in the

family.

What club does he play for?

Ronaldo is currently a part of Real Madrid, a team registered under Portugal. He

transferred to this club from Manchester United for a record transfer fee of about 92

million euros.

Background Cristiano has been playing football since his

early years. When he was 12, he joined his local team, Nacional, and was soon spotted by previous Liverpool Manager. Even though he

didn’t join, Cristiano was again noticed by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Fergulo.

Soon he became Manchester's first ever Portuguese player. His current jersey number

is 7, even though at first he requested the number 28.
