FIRST POST:
FOLLOW-UP AND FINAL POST:
Challenges & Overcoming Them● Found out ‘March Madness’ is a copyrighted phrase by the NCAA; had to be careful with
whom/what organization we marketed to- Focused mainly on family and friends
● Since we had to ship our shirts before the end of the tournament people were not yet excited about March Madness
● MobCraft didn’t want to purchase a bulk order of t-shirts; they found the t-shirts too high of an expense since they’re still growing
- They still assisted by advertising on their FB page which has over 3,200 followers
● Feedback about overall price of t-shirts and shipping costs: too expensive- Advertised the option of pick-up, but customers still found the t-shirts expensive
especially with $6 shipping
Lessons Learned & Key Advice● Focus on who you already have a target market for instead of on an idea
- consider all personal relationships with companies, events, and organizations- consider groups that want to eliminate hassle of designing/making apparel
● Bulk customers are the most effective and efficient sources of profit- lessens $6 shipping fee- easier to hand deliver- overcomes the security concerns of the Underground Printing Website- people tend to jump on bandwagon for group orders
● Consider working with different t-shirt supplier who have lower shipping and base prices
- more secure looking website may lead to more customers
