This 4-week intensive Japanese Studies program provides undergraduate overseas students a stimulating opportunity to study various aspects of Japan, traditional, modern and contem-porary. Participants attend up to 5 elective courses on weekdays, and have opportunities to go on weekend excursions in and around Tokyo/Saitama.
All classes are conducted in English, and an introductory Japanese language class is offered for those who wish to begin learning this fascinating language.

Japanese Studies Summer Program at Saitama University
◆ Minimum English test scores required :
TOEFL/PBT 550; TOEFL/iBT 79; IELTS 6.0 (Non-native speakers of English only)
◆ Registration and tuition fees :
*Applicants enrolled in any of our exchange partner institutions will be exempted.

✔ An official English test score (Non-native speakers of English only)
✔ Application Form with one photo (4 x 3 cm, color): It should be an official photo such as for a passport or driver’s license.
*Applicants may need a short term visitor visa to enter Japan, depending on their

ACCOMMODATION (on– campus) 50,000 JPY
per person
SU International House shared room (2 to 4 students) with Internet Access. Utilities (gas, water & electricity) are included.

*The room type is assigned by SU and the accommodation fee is 50,000 JPY per
person regardless of the room type.

②Transportation between the airports and SU (oneway about 3,000 to 4,000 JPY) :
Fare varies depending on transportation you use such as trains or Airport Shuttle Buses
from Narita/Haneda Airport to SU.
